A Most Unreliable Narrator Issue #208 And...we're back to Substack
That didn't take long
Dear Internet,
And so I am back.
And there are several reasons.
Mr. Lisa got the official layoff date, and no job offer has landed on his plate. We’re not going to be living on the streets. We will be OK for a few years if need be, including using my income to subsidize as I’m working many, many jobs. But we’re not going to be living the white trash upper middle-class life we’re used to until the income has stabilized. This is all to say that any extras, including Patreons, Substacks, and steaming services that we can let go are getting cut, including Buttondown (which I am paying for).
Right now, Buttondown is pissing me off. As of this writing, I cannot log in to my account. I reset the password and still cannot login. AND! You have to log in with your username and not your email address. There is no option to log in with your email nor to find out what email address is attached to. This is not the first time I’ve had tech issues with Buttondown. Look, I want to log in, write my shit, press send, and call it a day.
So that’s me! As of today, at least.

I think it's wise to concentrate on just a few social media points instead of trying to connect on ALL of them. More genuine connections that way. I've gone to Bluesky where I have gotten into some quite lovely chats.
