Wednesday, Jan. 3
12:08pm 1/3/2024 Fire Alarm E Cherry Bend Rd., Met with employees, someone burned their sandwich.
Thursday, Jan. 4
9:10 a.m. – Suttons Bay Caller is in an altercation with another party.
5:03 p.m. – Suttons Bay Truck has been following caller for several days.
6:38 p.m. – Elmwood Township Injured deer at the entrance to subdivision. The deer walked off.
Friday, Jan. 5
6:53pm 1/5/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Twp., Caller is reporting a possible poaching of deer.
Sunday, Jan. 7
8:58am 1/7/2024 Scam Maple City, Caller was scammed, gave them credit card and other info.
Monday, Jan. 8
6:16am 1/8/2024 Road Hazard Leelanau Cty., Country plow truck left snow in front the entrance to the SO, caller thinks it needs to be cleaned up, it could cause a small car problems.
6:29 p.m. – Elmwood Township Caller was contacted by someone who said they were with Oakland County and she had warrants and needed to pay them money. Oakland said she needed to pursue a fraud complaint with her local authorities.
Tuesday, Jan. 9
7:45 a.m. – Bingham Township Caller reports driver watching television on their phone while driving.
3:29pm 1/9/2024 Welfare Check Leelanau Cty., Caller is out walking her dog, she can’t get ahold of sister, neighbors aren't answering. Attempt to call goes unanswered to voicemail.
10:10 a.m. – Leelanau Township 911 hangup. Sounds like someone washing dishes in the background. Picked up on call back. No emergency there. Phone issues.
12:01 p.m. – Solon Township Caller was walking the rear of their property and found two sleeping bags, a backpack, a plastic bag containing various items. (Property checked. It appeared that the person or persons entered from state land. Caller notified.)
Wednesday, Jan. 10
12:25 a.m. – Glen Arbor Township Caller was told by a member of a fraternity at Michigan State University that they are sending a group of pledges up to Overlook 9 and asking them to climb down and up as part of a hazarding situation. (Law enforcement checked Stocking Scenic Drive and Overlook 9. There are no tracks in the area.)
4:35 p.m. — Kasson Township Snowmobile groomer is going along the side of the road. He doesn’t have a permit to do that.
Thursday, Jan. 11
8:01 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller has a camera ring on his house. He is hearing voices.
Friday, Jan. 12
9:49 a.m. — Kasson Township Cows and horses are not being fed. (Per animal control officer animals are fine. They have food, water and shelter.)
10:33 a.m. — Kasson Township Caller is having problems with trespassing snowmobiles.
11:45 a.m. — Kasson Township School bus violation.
2:23 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Subject appeared at the Sheriff’s office after he was contacted about having a warrant and needed to produce a DNA sample and also had to go to WalMart for gift cards to “pay the fines.”(Subject advised it was a scam.)
10:03 p.m. — Leelanau Township Subject has been in bed for three weeks. Caller wants him to go to the hospital. (Everything is fine. Subject is just in poor health and does not want to go to the hospital and if he did, he would call.)
Saturday, Jan. 13
4:50 p.m. — Elmwood Township Westbound truck, red with a cap, took out caller’s entire mailbox and post five minutes ago.
10:28 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Female is getting threatening texts.
Sunday, Jan. 14
1:48 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller’s debit card was charged $422.94 at a hardware store and rental for a snowblower.
Monday, Jan. 15
11:14 a.m. — Leelanau Township Truck was blocking caller’s driveway so he wrote on the window in dust.
1:30 p.m. — Bingham Township Individual has been plowing his driveway and pushing the snow into the road. The plows pushed it into the driveway this morning but he’s pushing it back into the road.
8:52 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Law enforcement out with a Ford Escape at the marina. (Driver looks to be eating dinner.)
