Wednesday, May 8

1:57 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller went around the house and notices a screen had been pulled away from one of the windows.

4:04 p.m. — Leelanau Township Sister dropped off guns. Caller would like to speak with law enforcement about what he should do.

9:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller is new to the area. She has noticed some weird thing happening at the house and she is a little concerned about it.

Thursday, May 9

1:24 p.m. — Leelanau Township Lady going door to door looking for where her relative died.

3:42 p.m. — Elmwood Township Purse found on the side of the road. (Purse returned.)

8:47 p.m. — Cleveland Township Cow in the middle of the road.

9:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Mom’s boyfriend will not let caller leave. Nothing physical happened.

9:54 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Intoxicated person walking toward his mom’s home.

Friday, May 10

10:05 a.m. — Empire Township Neighbor’s guineafowl are always loose and getting into caller’s yard and the roadway.

2:06 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Elderly gentleman may need help. He is possibly having car trouble. Silver Dodge Challenger or Charger.

4 p.m. — Leland Township Caller’s wife lost wedding ring either in Fishtown or Suttons Bay. Will be in the area for the weekend. Please call if found.

4:07 p.m. — Solon Township Caller asked mushroom hunters to leave his property. They ignored him and kept picking. Blue sedan.

4:37 p.m. — Kasson Township Employee in Maple City reports a car hit the building and left. They backed into the building. Got out and looked, then left.

5:37 p.m. — Cleveland Township Caller reports use of a credit card after stepdad was deceased.

10:21 p.m. —Elmwood Township Dog has been running around on and off for up to two weeks.

11:16 p.m. — Cleveland Township Horse in the road. Animal control made contact. Horse was spooked and loose earlier. They will try to locate the horse. (Horse was secured at home.)

Saturday, May 11

4:40 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Family locked out of vehicle. Already called a tow truck. (Just got into their vehicle.)

5:49 p.m. — Centerville Township Caller has cameras around his buildings. One person walking around his property. Gray SUV. Caller would like to know his options.

10:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller has a camping spot. Someone took the spot while caller and her husband were at dinner.

10:48 p.m. — Centerville Township Over 100 cars at Good Harbor Beach. There are people stuck on the beach in the sand and trying to pull each other out.

11:18 p.m. — Leland Township Caller had someone rev their car at them as they were trying to get into their driveway. Caller took a picture of the plate. Caller would like a call from deputy when one is available.

Sunday, May 12

4:43 p.m. — Leelanau Township Dog, part corgi and Australian Shepherd, named “Mocha” ran off about 20 minutes ago.

6:44 p.m. — Empire Township Caller lost on the Empire Bluff Trail. On unofficial trail between Empire Bluff and Treat Farm. Female stated that she needed help and didn’t know which direction to go. She is heading south to the Treat Farm and met two other people helping her. She was advised not to go down to the water.

10:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Three females on side of the road with a smashed

up car. Hit a deer.

Monday, May 13

2:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Black Audi with tinted windows. Driver is “smoking the reefer.” Law enforcement met with young men. “No reefer” found. Asked them to move it along.

4:33 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller’s son is in the area. He is a danger to the caller. Just drove by. He was supposed to vacate the area. He tired to get on caller’s wifi twice. Would like a deputy to respond to the area.

10:25pm 5/13/2024 Citizen Assist Leland, Caller is concerned about a fire that a group of people started on the beach. 

Tuesday, May 14

1:27 p.m. — Leland Township Saturday, early morning, caller saw lights on in the neighbor’s house to the north. Didn’t think much of it but other neighbors through she should call. (Caller was advised to call the moment she sees anything.

3:37 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller’s neighbor put his dock and hoist at the edge of caller’s property. She states it is on her riparian rightof- way. (Caller advised to contact state Conservation Officer.)

Wednesday, May 15

2:44am 5/15/2024 Suspicious Vehicle E Traverse Hwy., Subjects were just looking at the moon.

12:00pm 5/15/2024 Animal Control Suttons Bay Twp., 2 dogs in caller’s yard digging holes. 

3:21pm 5/15/2024 Civil Northport, Caller has personal belongings in his mom’s house and wants to retrieve them but his mom isn’t letting him come get them. 45-05 advised he cannot make caller’s mom return the items or allow unwanted entry into the residence, so if that’s the case they will have to go through small claims court.

7:42 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller is reporting a male walking in circles wearing only socks. Forty-ish. Long sleeve shirt, black pants. Now headed east. (Per law enforcement, subject went to visit relatives and is now walking home.)

8:15pm 5/15/2024 Warrant Arrest Lake Leelanau, Caller is reporting someone dressed like a policeman with a vest on that said “agent”, Chevy Capri station wagon, loading someone into the vehicle.

9:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller reports a man walking back and forth for a long time. Walking backwards. Caller thinks there is something wrong. (Subject back at home, per law enforcement.)

Thursday, May 16

5:41am 5/16/2024 Animal Control Elmwood Twp., Donkeys and cow are in caller’s yard. All animals are back home. 

6:14 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township One in custody for “threats.”

1:10pm 5/16/2024 Info Northport, Caller wanted it documented that individual drives by her residence and she knows he was attempting to “steal” her wifi by doing this.

1:24 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller received Google email stating his account was charged $30,000.

9:45 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller is scared for her life. Basement and garage checked for suspect who was taken into custody.

Friday, May 17

12:51am 5/17/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Caller has been seeing an odd flash of light going off for the past 20 minutes, thinks it may be near the vet’s office. Nothing out of the ordinary other than lightning. 

11:08 a.m. — Bingham Township Caller has had property surveyed and the neighbors have installed a fence on his property.

5:22 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Three people walking around inside the fence at the D.H. Day Barn. Subjects were advised they cannot be inside the fence and that it was trespassing.

10:04 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller lives just down the road from a residence. Reports the music is so loud that it is rattling his windows.

11:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller advised that the person living at his house for free was punching him earlier in the day.

Saturday, May 18

4:04pm 5/18/2024 Harassment Empire, Male by the outlet yelling at people and recording people. Yelling at boys who stopped at their beach. Explained to the caller where the high water mark is and where they can legally be.

5:48 p.m. — Solon Township Call from an iPhone stating that the phone has been ‘involved in a serious crash.” Owner of the phone called back stating the phone fell off his golf cart.

8:14 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller requests a welfare check on girlfriend who he hasn’t heard from since morning. She was “very short” on the phone.

11:57 p.m. — Solon Township Caller reports her roommate is not allowed on the property due to a “no contact” order. But caller knows that they are on the property.

Sunday, May 19

1:08 a.m. — Elmwood Township Suspicious vehicle. Uber driving trying to find the person he is picking up.

7:25pm 5/19/2024 Missing Person Juvenile Leland, Son ran away in the woods. In the area. Starting to track to the west of the residence. Consent search of the house to see if he is there. Out with the juvenile. Returned to his parents.

8:07 p.m. — Solon Township Caller says he was punched by his landlord after an altercation.

9:18pm 5/19/2024 Citizen Assist Elmwood Twp., Caller’s kids are not listening to her, she needs a deputy to come to the house and tell her kids that they need to listen to their mother. 

Monday, May 20

7:43am 5/20/2024 Citizen Assist Northport, Advising she has found additional medical equipment that has been stolen.

12:59 p.m. — Cleveland Township Large part of high school students and at least one vehicle at Bad Harbor.

1:27 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller is seeking assistance. Dog is stuck under the deck on a leash. West Highland Terrier.

5:09 p.m. — Elmwood Township Landlord threatening caller with civil recourse if he isn’t allowed to spray for bugs.

9:31pm 5/20/2024 Scam Leelanau Cty., Friend of caller told her about a fundraiser for her nephew. Caller went through Facebook page donation and she was scammed via gift cards.

11:18 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller heard something moving around her camp. Left her trash out. (It was a raccoon. They put the garage away.)
