Tuesday, July 30

12:23pm 7/30/2024 Citizen Assist Northport, Incident occurred around 8am, caller was running and an older male in a minivan got out and made sexual comments towards her.

5:23pm 7/30/2024 Misc Glen Lake, Children and adults jumping off the bridge amid boat traffic, about 6 people. 

5:50pm 7/30/2024 Leave Scene Suttons Bay Twp., Caller was parked in downtown Suttons Bay, note left on windshield by a witness stating someone saw a white SUV scrape their car. 

7:38pm 7/30/2024 WC Misc Elmwood Twp., Four teenagers are mooning people at the dock. 

Wednesday, July 31

7:46pm 7/31/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Called out to assist a female who received a suspicious package.

10:16 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Resident is very upset that fireworks are going off across the lake, He says it has happened before and thinks it comes somewhere from Dune Hwy. Wants someone to go make it stop and “enforce the law.” (Per law enforcement, no noise happening.)

Thursday, August 1

4:48 a.m. — Leland Township Person came into the lobby and stated that his girlfriend took his phone, keys and wallet.

3:29 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller had a package taken out of mailbox.

6:37pm 8/1/2024 Animal Control Elmwood Twp., Ongoing problem with neighbor’s dogs. Thinks she may have five dogs, three of them were in his coop killing chickens earlier today. 

10:38 p.m. — Bingham Township Small boat for sale at the corner of Cummings St. and M-22. Caller advised a male was possibly sleeping in the boat.

Friday, August 2

3:07 a.m. — Leelanau Township Caller’s wife got up and the side of the house was lit up. Electric outlet on the outside of the house, that is blacked. Smells like it was an electrical fire.

1:58 p.m. — Kasson Township Caller went over to a friend’s house and was bit by their dog.

3:41 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Deputy out with a group of 10 kids attempting to jump off the bridge.

4:26 p.m. — Leelanau Township Small, black purse stolen from a picnic table.

8 p.m. — Solon Township Landlord is making threats to caller and he claims to have a personal protection order.

8:59pm 8/2/2024 Death Bingham Twp., Caller went to check on her friend and found her on the bathroom floor.

Sunday, August 4

4:43 a.m. — Caller reports a car parked in the spot designated for vehicles with trailers.

9:41pm 8/4/2024 Trespassing Beach Club, Reporting an individual had been drinking and accosted two couples and brandished a knife. 

10:56 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller report a fight in the parking lot. Two males and a female yelling. Five people in total.

Monday, August 5

12:03 a.m. — Elmwood Township Sister assaulted caller and her mother. Destroyed some property.

6:02 a.m. — Elmwood Township Caller is having a verbal argument with her husband.

6:04 a.m. — Centerville Township Neighbor has construction equipment running and its 6 a.m. (Area patrolled. There is no loud equipment.)

11:26 a.m. — Solon Township Blue minivan with older male at the corner of South Cedar Road and M-72. Asking for money and walking into the lane of traffic. (Subject understands and compliant with parking violation and has moved.)

11:35 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Teenage son out of control. Caller does not feel safe.

6:59pm 8/5/2024 Gunshots Kasson Twp., Caller advised that she was sitting outside and someone is shooting guns.

7:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township  Caller is waiting for her ex to drop off children at the Omena Post Office. He is not dropping them off.

Tuesday, August 6

10:50am 8/6/2024 Unknown Problem Leland, Man on back, no other information available as caller was uncooperative. Arrived on scene to find a man enjoying a nap under a tree. No emergencies there. 

10:58am 8/6/2024 Suspicious Incident Glen Arbor Twp., Younger male was riding a bike east on Northwood and has what appeared to be a long gun he was holding and pointing down at the ground. In the area. 

1:25pm 8/6/2024 Suspicious Person Leelanau Cty., Suspicious person hanging around back door. 

11:15pm 8/6/2024 Suspicious Incident S West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller advised there is a male banging on the windows and doors of his neighbor’s house and screaming.

Wednesday, August 7

8:33am 8/7/2024 Info Leelanau Cty., Ongoing issue with multiple drones above caller’s property at night.

10:43 a.m. — Solon Township Caller went to a website. Gave someone access to computer. Caller has contacted his bank. (Advised to keep a close look on his accounts, per law enforcement.)

11:16 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Someone dropped a bicycle in caller’s front yard three days ago.

12:40pm 8/7/2024 Suspicious Incident S West-Bay Shore Dr., Suitcase left outside along caller’s building and the caller is afraid to open it or look at it, it was there this morning at 9:30.

5:33 p.m. — Centerville Township Caller purchased Apple gift cards in return for money. Scam.

7:12 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller scammed out of money when she tried to by an air conditioning unit from someone in Ohio.

Thursday, August 8

12:45am 8/8/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Caller is reporting someone flying drones around her house. Caller saw one drone tonight and apparently it was out last night as well.

7 a.m. — Leelanau Township Subject went to the water last night and caller received a text this morning that they never came home last night. (Individual said they were fine. They just got stuck on the rocks. They said they were heading home.)

7:19 a.m. — Bingham Township Vehicle parked by the TART Trail for over two hours. Windows halfway down. Headlights still on. Silver 4-door sedan. Front of car looks banged up. Caller not comfortable going to check if anyone is in the vehicle. (Subject pulled off because he was tired. He will be heading back to Lake Leelanau.)

11:39 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Neighbors are parked in caller’s driveway. Two vans. Unknown how long they have been there. Caller won’t talk to them but wants the vehicles removed. (Deputy made contact with both parties. They will try to figure out the property lines.)

4:28 p.m. — Centerville Township Brother and caller had a physical altercation.

9:21pm 8/8/2024 Suspicious Vehicle Maple City, Chevy in the parking lot with a male sleeping for the past 3 hours. Individual had an argument with his wife and is taking a nap, he will be leaving shortly.

9:46 p.m. — Leelanau Township Smaller car doing donuts in the parking lot. Took off northbound toward Northport.

Friday, August 9

12:06 a.m. — Centerville Township Broken down vehicle on the side of the road. Vehicle is totaled. Driver went off into the field.

12:20 a.m. — Leland Township Caller is reporting that there is a drone flying over her house again tonight.

10:24 a.m. — Elmwood Township Large trash bags in the roadway. Caller is concerned for motorists.

2:33 p.m. — Centerville Township Cows loose on the roadway. Approximately eight black cows,. May be in the cornfi elds/ Belong to farm on the corner. (Homeowner reached. He will be there shortly to round them up.)

9:27pm 8/9/2024 Fire Alarm Elmwood Twp., EPS intrusion alarm, burnt hot dogs. 

Saturday, August 10

8:57 a.m. — Kasson Township Caller has easement on piece of property he sold. But new owner says his easement is invalid. Easement appears valid but if the other property owners chooses to bring a civil suit. (He’ll have to deal with that through the court.)

7:14 p.m. — Solon Township Two males are destroying caller’s property with bulldozers.

9:40 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Resident is worried about noise coming from a house on Manitou Blvd. having a bonfire and making too much noise. Caller asked about a noise ordinance. (Per law enforcement, no noise in the area.)

Sunday, August 11

10:22 a.m. — Bingham Township Activity affecting neighbors. Potential for future dispute. Neighbor is operating a public campground and campers are trespassing on caller’s property. Advertising the ability to trespass on property.

2:05pm 8/11/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Two weeks ago strange men approached her and asked if she worked alone. Today, these same men came back accompanied by another female and asked her again if she works alone. They departed in a red van.

5:35 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Female, 12, was on the dock. Caller now can’t see her. Child had paddle board and went out of sight of family. (She was located.)

Monday, August 12

12:25 a.m. — Elmwood Township Guy walking down the road. Headed north. It looked like he was carrying a weapon. (Subject taken into custody on a warrant.)
