Tuesday, October 8
12:42 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller lost the keys to his vehicles while at the Dune Climb and needs assistance to get to Traverse City. Caller reached out to insurance company and they could not provide any help. They have a baby with them and need to make it to a hotel in Traverse City. Taxi cab company is willing to pick up the caller and his family.
4:12 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller is scared and afraid of being alone. Hearing things outside. Button activation to Guardian Medical requesting law enforcement. (Checked around house. All secure.)
7:47pm 10/8/2024 911 Hangup S Jeannine St., Little kid on the line, could not make out anything they said, asked them to put mom or dad on the phone and then they hung up. No young children at this trailer, I’ll check other trailers in the area. Everyone is okay.
Wednesday, October 9
10:39am 10/9/2024 911 Hangup S Jeannine St., Child with a 911 phone call open line, male saw them on the phone and said “Don’t do that” and hung up. No emergencies.
5:56pm 10/9/2024 Larceny Kasson Twp., Stolen political sign.
6:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Neighbor cut trees on the eastern boundary of caller’s property. Caller is going to have the property line survey and will then make a final determination if they were his trees or not.
11:22 p.m. — Empire Township Called out with a vehicle at Empire Beach. (Car occupants were looking at the stars.)
Thursday, October 10
12:37 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller’s fiance is walking around. Lost. Caller unknown if he is in danger. Phone pinged identifying location. Law enforcement with caller, enroute to the Thoreson Road area. (At Beach Club parking lot with missing person.)
1:39pm 10/10/2024 Citizen Assist Leland, Man sitting on the bench at the church looks ill. Says he is dehydrated. Thinks he should be checked out.
2:47 p.m. — Solon Township Individual illegally dumping dirt in caller’s swamp.
3:46 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller owns property on Scott Hill Road. Has the area chained off. Someone keeps cutting the chain or removing the posts and there is evidence of offroad vehicle use, causing lots of erosion.
5:05pm 10/10/2024 Info Leelanau Cty., Man walking by road, swearing. Kicked over trash can and kept walking. Attempting contact with the suspect. Spoke with individual. He said he kicked his own trash can as he was frustrated.
8:56 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller lives across from the white church. Thought that they saw something walking around. Caller advised that officers will take a look when available. Casked to call back if anything changes. (Pastor showed up on scene and is reviewing camera footage. Interior is secure.
9:16 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller wants to file trespass charges against individual who came onto her property soliciting political activity while she was away. She has no trespassing signs at the base of her property. (Caller was seeking some answers and was provided some insight and guidance.)
9:37 p.m. — Bingham Township Some vehicles parked on caller’s property. Does not know if they are partying or what but there are brine pits back there and he’s more worried about a drowning hazard. Does not want to press charges. Would just like them to move on.
Friday, October 11
9:04 a.m. — Empire Township Vehicle parked in the apartment lot — no plate. (Tow truck just jumped the vehicle and now it is parked there running. But hasn’t left and there is a male by the car now.)
10:33 a.m. — Leland Township Political signs blocking view if traffic and according to the caller, she feels they are illegal because of an article in the paper. (Caller advised to contact Road Commission.)
11:57 a.m. — Empire Township One taken into custody for no operator’s license on person and providing a false name.
Noon — Elmwood Township Subject destroyed all caller’s heirlooms and property while she wasn’t allowed to be at the house. Wants subject trespassed. (Subject’s name is on the house and there nothing barring him entry.)
12:45 p.m. — Elmwood Township Law enforcement out in the driveway with the couple above filming one another while verbally arguing. Removing belongings. Both parties were advised that it was a civil issue and to wait for court paperwork to make decision).
1:35pm 10/11/2024 Car Animal Cedar, Bear ran out and hit the side of caller’s car, bear ran off, caller’s boyfriend was driving.
10:36pm 10/11/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., A doordasher was delivering food and heard some noises that they thought should be checked out.
Saturday, October 12
1:21am 10/12/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Caller stopped to check on a vehicle, the man inside pulled a gun on him and then took off. Getting conflicting stories of what occurred, road rage incident.
Sunday, October 14
7:43 a.m. — Cleveland Township Park ranger with plate on a vehicle on a road with no name in Port Oneida. Looks like it’s been here all night. Illegal camping.
7:12 p.m. — Leland Township Caller advised his ex would not give him their kids even though it is his time to have them, per court order paperwork. Caller would like this documented for legal purposes.
Monday, October 14
1:39 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller turned self into the Sheriff’s Office advising that she drove to the Sheriff’s Office under the influence.
9:43am 10/14/2024 Suspicious Incident Heritage Trl., Was running on trail when a compact red car with black doors stopped and stared at her. Male, wearing blue mirrored glasses drove down the road and came back around to stop and stare at her again.
12:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller said he has the right to family property/ belongings and they are being sold without his consent.
1:35 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller said a contractor is causing damage to his cedar trees.
2:15pm 10/14/2024 Citizen Assist Bingham Twp., Caller was pouring concrete drive, had tools in road so that they could finish. Someone who lives in private drive ran over tools.
Tuesday, October 15
1:06pm 10/15/2024 Break Enter Maple City, Caller noticed a breaking and entering at one of his investment properties, just noticed that someone broke in and sprayed the fire extinguisher all over.
7:27pm 10/15/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Homeowner concerned because there are two gentlemen running around with flashlights and scaring her. She has told them the person they are looking for does not live there. She would like an officer to respond. Dispatch received a call from an individual, who works for a bail bond company, and they advised they were going to this address to serve paperwork. Per caller, people have left, she will call again if there is a problem. Neighbor called concerned about her, would like a call back to speak with sergeant on duty as soon as possible.
Wednesday, October 16
12:04 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller came with her boyfriend to The Homestead. She does not feel safe with him. She is in the car and was able to lock it. She would like an officer to assist.
8 a.m. — Centerville Township Caller’s wife hit a deer near M-22 and Good Harbor Trail. She did not have good service.
8:32pm 10/16/2024 Family Trouble Leelanau Twp., Caller advised his ex-wife put an air tag in his car and he just located it tonight and would like to report this. He advised this has happened before.
10:27pm 10/16/2024 Suspicious Incident Empire Twp., Employee at the gas station advised there is a single male on a trick bike wearing a green bandana on his head, has been doing laps around the gas station for about half an hour and is messing with little things outside.
Thursday, October 17
11:22 a.m. — Leland Township Second call referencing a low flying helicopter in the bluff/ beach area. Caller advised the individual has done this before and she might know who the pilot is. (Caller advised if she gets additional information on the pilot to advise dispatch.)
1:54pm 10/17/2024 Larceny Empire Twp., Caller was doing her laundry and eating lunch and left. When she came back someone stole her purse. Called back and she has located her missing purse.
3:20 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller’s wife has been lost on the Cottonwood Trail for three hours. The park was also contacted directly reference the same incident. Last seen wearing a blue jacket, black hair, no medication conditions. (Female found at Overlook 9 and 10.)
Friday, October 18
9:53 a.m. — Kasson Township One cow in the road. (Owner arrived. Cow in pasture. Still missing a small calf.)
11:38 a.m. — Empire Township Person living in car. Two dogs in the car keeping caller awake.
5:43 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Patient did not show for an appointment. Concerned for his welfare. (Subject called and said he is doing fine. Said that he moved out of the area.)
8:45pm 10/18/2024 Info Glen Arbor Twp., Looking out window, object in sky flashing red and green, very bright, not really moving. Sees it between Sleeping Bear Point and South Manitou.
Saturday, October 19
12:02 a.m. — Solon Township Male came to caller’s door looking for an individual.
12:03 a.m. — Centerville Township Black car came up driveway. Caller turned on porch light. They sat in the driveway for a few minutes. They left a few minutes ago. Caller would like someone to drive the area when possible.
1 p.m. — Leland Township Stuff in purse has been removed.
4:15 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Found a cell phone near the Dune Climb. Left it with clerk at the gas station. (Owner retrieved phone before ranger arrived.)
5:57 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Two individual acting erratically.
9:47 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Someone was pounding on caller’s windows and door. Doesn’t know who it would be.
11:09pm 10/19/2024 Motor Assist Solon Twp., Someone standing outside of a truck tried to wave down passerby. Caller did not feel comfortable stopping and continued driving, said truck was just south of White Road.
Sunday, October 20
12:01pm 10/20/2024 Suspicious Vehicle Empire Twp., Black car parked in front of vehicle charging station near his house. Been parked there for two days, thinks it’s suspicious or in need of assistance. Vehicle is actively charging, no issues here.
2:29pm 10/20/2024 Road Hazard N West-Bay Shore Dr., Says someone is putting traffic cones in the middle of road at M-22 in an attempt to control traffic. Two cones in the middle of the road. They say “SLOW” on them. Spoke with the homeowner, he will remove the cones and not replace them.
3:02 p.m. — Kasson Township Caller got home Friday evening. Package from Amazon on the porch had been cut open. After discussing possibilities, it was agreed that the contents may have fallen out of the package during delivery. She will contact Amazon and attempt a settlement with them and if needed will call back.
4:56 p.m. — Kasson Township Motorist came across a male who fell off his bike and possibly broke his shoulder.
Monday, October 21
9:44 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Backpackers on the Sleeping Bear Point path about 1/4 mile up the path on the left side. Fifty foot off the path people having a bonfire. (Per ranger, seems like people are illegally camping out there as well.)
11:51am 10/21/2024 Neighbor S West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller is having a fence put in and neighbor is harassing the workers.
7:10 p.m. — Elmwood Township Late waterfowl shooting complaint on Cedar Lake.
8:41pm 10/21/2024 Illegal Burn S West-Bay Shore Dr., South of caller the neighbor is burning and smoke is making caller’s nose burn. Cancel additional, small campfire, nothing illegal going on here.
