Tuesday, Jan. 30

1:35pm 1/30/2024 Road Hazard Leelanau Cty., Construction company parking in the road blocking an entire lane of traffic. Per 45-26 this is not a hazard. 

Wednesday, Jan 31.

9:45am 1/31/2024 Fire Wires Down Leelanau Twp., Walking dog and saw a tree fall into the power lines, they are still up but smoldering. Consumer’s notified, Consumer’s on scene.

11:05am 1/31/2024 Fire Alarm Leelanau Cty., General fire microwave cooking mishap, no emergencies there. 

Friday, Feb. 2

8:40am 2/2/2024 Suspicious Incident E Traverse Hwy., Caller upset an LCSO unit was parked on private property at this location running radar. 

11:07am 2/2/2024 Suspicious Vehicle E Traverse Hwy., Caller is in a private subdivision with no soliciting, and there is a “sketchy” van parked at the entrance of the subdivision and two “sketchy” individuals. They don't appear official for any kind of business, walking around door to door.

Saturday, Feb. 3

10:35pm 2/3/2024 Assist Dept Turtle Creek., Admin message from Kalkaska to tribal. A domestic suspect at Turtle Creek. 

Sunday, Feb. 4

3:50am 2/4/2024 Suspicious Incident Suttons Bay Twp., Hearing voices in her building down the stairs, someone knocked on her door. Caller would like to be seen after the area is checked when it is safe. 

11:40am 2/4/2024 Suspicious Incident N West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller was checking on a property, reported someone shot at him. 

5:58pm 2/4/2024 Neighbor Leelanau Cty., Someone smeared dog feces on her car door and window. 

Monday, Feb 5.

7:38pm 2/5/2024 Repossession Suttons Bay Twp., Northern asset recovery repo on a vehicle, Hyundai Santa Fe.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

8:23am 2/6/2024 Background Check Leelanau Cty., Required background for pistol purchase. 

12:15pm 2/6/2024 Traffic Violation Elmwood twp., A resident is concerned as more cars are using their street and speeding. She requests additional patrols in the area, especially during peak rush hours. 

Wednesday, Feb. 7

12:33am 2/7/2024 Suspicious Vehicle Lake Leelanau, 45-21 called out with a Volvo at the park. 

7:56 a.m. — Elmwood Township  Possibly a Chevy SUV swerving all over the road, into the grass, no brakes.

11:38am 2/7/2024 Suspicious Incident Cedar, Individual sent his daughter inappropriate photos on Snapchat. 

4:27 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township  Caller was driving by and saw a huge cloud of unnatural colored smoke and thinks that there are illegal materials being burned.

4:33pm 2/7/2024 Suspicious Incident W Sleeping Bear, Saw a man and woman on their deck walking around, heard them talking about having to “tear up the deck to the beach”. Then they realized they were on camera and departed. The reporter called back stating the caretaker had a gentleman come over to check on something on their behalf without letting the homeowner know. 

5:05pm 2/7/2024 MDOP Bingham Twp., Boat cleaning structure at the boat launch that had a 3x3 instructional sign on the side of their building, someone has removed the sign and reinstalled it on the east side of the building. 

5:22 p.m. — Bingham Township Automated iPhone message, involved in an accident near this intersection. No voice on the line. Can hear traffi c going by. No answer on call back. On arrival, an iPhone was found in the middle on M22 apparently where it fell off someone’s car.

5:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Three males in their 20s in the neighborhood. Seen at a picnic table in an empty lot at the end of the culde- sac. Individuals reported to be in an Audi.

Thursday, Feb. 8

12:38 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township  Caller reports someone banging on their door.

4:15am 2/8/2024 Family Trouble Maple City, Caller reports that a friend called her and has been arguing with her boyfriend. 

4:23pm 2/9/2024 Welfare Check Leelanau Cty., Delivering for UPS, several packages there that havent been opened, house appears to be in bad shape, concerned for anyone living there. On arrival the packages had been taken in. No one is answering the door. 

Saturday, Feb. 10

9:56am 2/10/2024 Suspicious Incident Elmwood Twp., Someone got a hold of caller’s key and is entering condo while caller is not there. Let someone stay there in July for a week, things are missing. 

Sunday, Feb. 11

1:10 p.m. — Empire Township  Caller chatting online with counselor stating she is in active labor and has suicidal ideation. Caller lives with boyfriend and has possible domestic violence concerns. No one coming to the door, neighbors have not heard anything. Owner of the house gave permission to walk through house, searched, no one was there.

Monday, Feb. 12

8:40 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller saw a backpack in Northport yesterday near the gym and went back there today and noticed it again. Picked it up and brought it home.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

7:23 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller advised that his phone was hacked and he is receiving 700 text messages an hour. Explicit material. (Caller was given advice on how to get help to remove the unwanted items.)

10:28 a.m. — Elmwood Township Violation of the controlled substance law.

10:43 a.m. — Elmwood Township Repossession of a 2019, black BMW.
