Tuesday, Feb. 13
7:23am 2/13/2024 Suspicious Incident Suttons Bay Twp., Caller advised that his phone got hacked and he is receiving 700 text messages an hour of explicit material. Caller was given advice on how to get help to remove unwanted items per LT.
12:58pm 2/13/2024 Fire Gas Leak Leelanau Cty., Caller accidentally left the natural gas turned on since 11:30 am and just returned and can smell rotten eggs, has since turned it off but is concerned about the levels. House ventilated.
Wednesday, Feb. 14
11:11am 2/14/2024 Larceny Duck Lake, Has a storage unit here, last time there forgot to lock it, received a call from the owner that his unit’s door was open. Some items missing.
5:32pm 2/14/2024 Info Lake Leelanau, Caller had 5 children with her, red vehicle watching her children driving slowly, pulled into the playground and left when she called back her children.
Thursday, Feb. 15
12:48am 2/15/2024 Disorderly Lake Leelanau, Caller advised that female and male are at their residence banging on the door and are HBD. Subjects not coming to the door. Female has been formerly trespassed from the property.
10:37am 2/15/2024 Welfare Check N West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller is with Leelanau ShareCare, one of the subscribers “hasn’t been herself” and daughter is concerned. Patient is fine, alert, oriented and upset that she was being checked on again
Friday, Feb. 16
12:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Two dogs were in the road. They aren’t currently in the road, but they keep returning. Contacted the owner. He is not in the area and the owner believes the dog sitter is not there currently in the area. Contacted the owner again, house sitter is on the way and will remain there until they get there. Dog turned over to the pet sitter, verbal warning.
2:03 p.m. — Leland Township Male came in taking pictures of products in a suspicious way, trying not to be seen. Male was only there for about five minutes. No crime committed, just strange behavior.
3:36 p.m. — Leland Township There is a male taking pictures of the exterior of the school until about 5 p.m. Driving a Jeep, in case anyone calls he is there on legitimate business.
4:46pm 2/16/2024 Citizen Assist Leelanau Cty., Caller took a bus home from the surgery center after being there for hours, her boyfriend didn’t return to pick her up and he’s not answering his phone, caller is now very concerned. She got ahold of him and he is on her way home.
7:37 p.m. — Bingham Township Report of two big furry dogs outside, maybe St. Bernards. Just concerned.
8:22 p.m. — Leland Township Four girls came in and bought $200 worth of alcohol using fake IDs. Spoke with the caller. It was two different groups buying beer. All are gone now. Also spoke with the restaurant owner. They did not serve the group.
Saturday, Feb. 17
1:15 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller’s daughter and granddaughter live at this house. Possibly could be minors drinking. Caller believes that her daughter and granddaughter could be arguing and can hear yelling from inside the residence.
11:40 a.m. — Centerville Township Caller arrived at an Airbnb, smelled gas, left the door open for five minutes but still smells it. There were readings coming from the furnace. The furnace has been shut off and the property owner notifi ed. The guests have been advised to seek accommodations elsewhere.
5:01pm 2/17/2024 Info Leelanau Cty., Caller reports there is “A lot of adderall and cocaine going around right now.”
Sunday, Feb. 18
12:55 p.m. — Elmwood Township Subjects stayed at the condo in July and took some CDs and a necklace. Caller wants the deputy to contact and advise them to stay out of the condo.
6:59 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller reports her husband left his home in Interlochen at 12:30 p.m. to pick up tools and has not returned home. Text to phone went straight to voicemail. Have attempted the caller’s phone three times. Phone states it is not accepting phone calls. Caller called back. Her husband has “turned up.”
Monday, Feb. 19
10: 31 a.m. — Kasson Township Stop sign is damaged. Road Commission put up a temporary one.
10:37 a.m. — Leland Township Check has been altered. The bank refused to cash it as it had clearly been altered.
11:31 a.m. — Empire Township Lost wallet reported. Caller called back. Found his wallet in his car.
12:02 p.m. — Bingham Township iPhone crash detection. Contacted the phone owner. Phone fell on the floor of the car.
3:34 p.m. — Bingham Township 911 call made. Small child on the line saying, “help me, help me, I’m in danger.” 12-year-old pulling a prank. Was not aware the call could be traced. He’s been counseled.
Tuesday, Feb. 20
8:35 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller reports a bad smell in the house, doesn’t know what it is, possibly a gas leak.
9:50am 2/20/2024 Neighbor Leelanau Cty., Neighbor hostile with caller over the years, having construction done. Using caller’s property to access without permission. Caller already spoke to workers.
11:24am 2/20/2024 911 Hangup Northport, Said she slammed fingers in the door, no assault occurred, heated argument.
1:24 p.m. — Bingham Township Possum injured, just south of the trail bridge on the side of the roadway.
Wednesday, Feb. 21
10:50 a.m. — Solon Township Caller’s son incarcerated in Grand Rapids. Had a school laptop belonging to someone out of Boyne City. Believed to be at another residence, does not want to go to the residence alone. Caller is unsure how to get the laptop back. Subject states he dropped that laptop off several months ago at the school to the assistant principal.
1:53 p.m. — Leland Township Caller is in Glen Arbor where she lives. Phone was stolen from Lake Leelanau around 12:30 p.m. today. Phone was returned to the owner.
5:27pm 2/21/2024 Disorderly Leelanau Cty., Female speaking loudly about drugs at local restaurants. In custody for disorderly, will need chair in the sally port. Send SBE rescue to assist with restraint.
Thursday, Feb. 22
12:15pm 2/22/2024 Larceny Elmwood Twp., Money taken from residence. In custody.
Friday, Feb. 23
10:10 a.m. — Bingham Township Received a jury summons from federal court in Grand Rapids. Unsure if it is a scam and would like law enforcement to look it over. Paperwork was inspected, it is legitimate.
11:23 a.m. — Leelanau Township Caller complaining about a construction company. Sold equipment and business.
3:10pm 2/23/2024 Fraud Empire Twp., Logged into online credit card account and found approximately $10,000 in fraudulent charges, various payments in southern California.
11:09 p.m. — Solon Township Caller heard two sets of three gunshots. Possibly coming from the south of her location in the area.
Saturday, Feb. 24
11:43am 2/24/2024 Fire Alarm Suttons Bay Twp., Set ff the fire alarm, Suttons Bay units can cancel. Confirmed the alarm was a result of cooking. No emergencies there, air fryer set off the fire alarm.
8:15 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Child staying for the weekend and stole money from caller’s wallet.
10:18 p.m. — Bingham Township Checking on two suspicious vehicles at the boat launch.
Sunday, Feb. 25
12:05 a.m. — Elmwood Township Mail Truck reported going the wrong way on M-22.
11:55am 2/25/2024 Scam E Cherry Bend Rd., Caller was looking for a puppy, $250 to ship the dog here in Walmart gift card. Walmart said to file a police report.
Monday, Feb. 26
8:54 a.m. — Bingham Township Caller was taking kids out to the bus stop and a small, white truck blew right by the extended stop sign on the bus.
12:50 p.m. — Leland Township Someone’s car alarm has been going off 10 or more times in the last day. No idea who owns the vehicle.
1:59pm 2/26/2024 Suspicious Incident N West-Bay Shore Dr., Male subject came to residence, attempted to enter code and doorlock, looked around, and left.
4:27pm 2/26/2024 Disorderly Maple City, Female is being combative and putting others at risk.
11:28 p.m. — Leelanau Township Grandson tore grandmother’s truck apart.
