12:13am 2/27/2024 Warrant Custody N West-Bay Shore Dr., Wanting to turn himself in on warrant, one in custody.
9:03am 2/27/2024 Info Suttons Bay Twp., Caller reporting anonymously about drug activity.Â
12:26pm 2/27/2024 Suspicious Incident Suttons Bay Twp., Caller concerned someone may have broken into house.Â
2:44pm 2/27/2024 Citizen Assist Leelanau Twp., Caller’s husband with dementia gave money away over a course of several years. Wants to know if theres anything that can be done.Â
4:02 p.m. — Elmwood Township Road hazard reported. Large pallet of windows/glass in the roadway.
10:17 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller was threatened by coworker’s boyfriend a few days ago.
Wednesday, Feb. 28
9:56am 2/28/2024 Welfare Check Leelanau Cty., Talked with a male through the closed door that refused to identify himself. Offered assistance and he didn’t want any help.Â
5:21 p.m. — Centerville Township Caller is being harassed in messenger.
Friday, March 1
10:00 a.m. — Empire Township Received a call about someone laying face down on the sidewalk. Patient refusal.
10:54am 3/1/2024 Suspicious Person Leelnanau Cty., Guy walking down the road yelling at everyone. Per roommate subject left and is fine.Â
5:05pm 3/1/2024 Assist Dept Elmwood Twp., Caller thinks he found mortar shells in the basemet, not sure if they are live. MSP bomb squad looked at pictures, will take care of it tomorrow.Â
7:00 p.m. — Leland Township Good Harbor Winery advised a male came to the winery when it was closed and forcefully opened a locked door.
9:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller has a man in her house and would like him to leave.
11:36 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Received a call about a female in black Lexus. Female was looking in the caller’s windows and work van.
Saturday, March 2
2:58am 3/2/2024 Info E Cherry Bend Rd., Anonymous caller from Tenessee called and wanted to report that he thought some friends may have left a party on Cherry Bend about 20 minutes ago, he is worried they may have been drinking.Â
7:30pm 3/2/2024 Suspicious Incident Solon Twp., Caller heard screaming when they were outside walking their dog, now it is silent. Caller is worried someone could be in trouble, said screams sounded chilling and there were about 9 or 10 of them before it was silent. Unfounded, will be clear.Â
Sunday, March 3
12:01pm 3/3/2024 Found Property N West-Bay Shore Dr., 45-11 found a bartending book on the side of the road.Â
8:10 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Gas station called and said the individual left without paying. They are heading back to pay.
Monday, March 4
10:04 a.m. — Centerville Township Individual took his wallet and keys. Lives with caller and has taken from him before. Wallet and keys were located.
Tuesday, March 5
11:24 a.m. — Leland Township Approximately 40 tires have been dumped along the roadway, north of the bus garage. On township property.
12:42pm 3/5/2024 Civil Suttons Bay Twp., Neighbor is installing a fence on caller’s property.Â
2:38pm 3/5/2024 Animal Control N West-Bay Shore Dr., Says her son has been keeping a dog for an individual and they won’t come and get it. Would like to speak with tribal police about their options.Â
3:18pm 3/5/2024 Suspicious Person Elmwood Twp., Acquaintance was there who was upset over an unrelated relationship. Left aggressively in his truck and left tire tracks and sped about the neighborhood.
Wednesday, March 6
1:23 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller is 99 years old. Niece lives on the other side of the house and was supposed to come help with caller 30 minutes ago. Don’t know where she is.
6:37 a.m. — Leland Township Cow near the road. All animals are back in. Owner is back to take care of them.
8:38 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller’s son was coerced online to send photos. Then was told he would need to send money or else they would release them.
Thursday, March 7
8:17am 3/7/2024 911 Hangup Maple City, Male and female upset in the background, no answer on callback. Referral to CPS.
Friday, March 8
11:10pm 3/8/2024 Fire Vehicle Elmwood Twp., Vehicle on fire in the driveway and there are 4 other vehicles nearby. Caller advised he tried to knock on the neighbird door but no one was answering. Vehicle fully engulfed, request additional personnel. Fire knocked down.Â
Saturday, Marc 9
4:20 a.m. — Leland Township Car door in the roadway with some glass. Out with the car. Passenger side door and the guardrail was damaged as well.
6:25 p.m. — Cleveland Township Young kids slid off road. Need to be towed between trees.
Sunday, March 10
1:11 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Vehicle in the parking lot for a while. Possible MIP situation.
8:20pm 3/10/2024 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Twp., Advised she thinks someone may be living in her house while they live out of state in Ohio. Caller believes that her furnace broke, which caused the pipes to freeze. Also her kids were up here after her and probably left things lying around. She did not need any response from LE.Â
Monday, March 11
2:54am 3/11/2024 Domestic Leelanau Cty., Caller advised his daughter is being threatened.
9:29 a.m. — Leelanau Township Gate was ajar on the yard. Half-eaten sucker on the counter. A month ago, caller could hear a phone ringing but none of the employees had their phones off silent. Caller had her husband check the premise and nothing was damaged or out of place. Caller just wants this put on the record.
Tuesday, March 12
3:52 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller is concerned because the side gate was open yesterday and there was trash on the kitchen counter. Caller is nervous and would like a deputy to search the building and see if there’s evidence of someone on the premise. (Law enforcement checked the building. No cause for concern.)
