Wednesday, June 5
9:34 a.m. — Empire Township Pontoon parked on private property. Ongoing problem. The sign stating no one can moor there overnight is down.
11:40am 6/5/2024 Citizen Assist Northport, Calling because his father has been moved and no one will tell him where he is. Advised caller to contact an attorney.
3 p.m. — Bingham Township Caller evicted a tenant and is concerned that there may be hazardous materials left there.
3:21 p.m. — Elmwood Township Mail carrier noticed homeowner has not picked up mail in over two months. (Deputy went to the address and made contact with the homeowner.)
Thursday, June 6
8:09am 6/6/2024 Harassment Kasson Twp., Someone has been calling caller’s friends. Caller was given options.
10:26am 6/6/2024 Harassment Leelanau Cty., Harassing and threatening messages.
3:21 p.m. — Centerville Township Caller hasn’t heard from subject for three days. Number says it’s disconnected.
3:31 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Motor home parks on M-22. Caller can’t get into the parking lot. (Motorhome was moved.)
Friday, June 7
9:55 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller received a threatening voicemail around 11 last night.
11:21am 6/7/2024 Suspicious Person Leelanau Cty., Male wandered onto property looking in windows. Spoke with caller.
1:44pm 6/7/2024 Animal Control Leelanau Cty., Campground, lost cat, main coon, 13lbs, mostly brown, some tan, gray and white. Lost around May 25. “Chester”.
4:10 p.m. — Leland Township Someone gained access to caller’s credit card and charge account.
8:17pm 6/7/2024 Citizen Assist Northport, Neighbor to the south sent a picture of the neighbors to the north hanging out on caller’s dock. Made contact with the group and advised them to move along.
Saturday, June 8
2:55pm 6/8/2024 Suspicious Incident Leland, 70 year old male knocked on front door, photographed her through the front door and took photos of her vehicle.
Sunday, June 9
12:09am 6/9/2024 Suspicious Incident Dunes, 47 year old male was out hiking the dunes, told the caller that he saw a mountain lion on the dunes and he has not come off the dunes. Hikes the bluffs. Spoke with caller, he will get ready to look and requests us to call GTCO to do a driveby of his house. Car is at his house, called back, all set.
Monday, June 10
8:06 p.m. — Kasson Township Caller requests a deputy come talk to her son.
Tuesday, June 11
2:25am 6/11/2024 Assist Department Elmwood Twp., Assisting TCPD with a person who is concerned that her vehicle is stolen.
3:17 a.m. — Bingham Township House to the east of caller’s has a dog that has been outside for the past three hours barking.
11:49am 6/11/2024 Citizen Assist Empire, Caller thinks someone tried to break into her house because her front and back doors were unlocked.
Wednesday, June 12
1:47 p.m. — Solon Township Caller just had property survey last week and the neighbor next door is disregarding the signage.
7:23 p.m. — Elmwood Township Strange cars came down driveway and left when they saw the caller come out. Didn’t want any action taken. Just wanted it noted. She said that she was aware it could just be people driving and not realizing the road’s length.
Thursday, June 13
11:54 a.m. — Solon Township Metal neighborhood sign for private drive was struck and is on the ground.
3:59 p.m. — Kasson Township Threats made.
5:23 p.m. — Leland Township Tahoe. Male driver. Drinking a Bud Light while pumping gas.
10:18 p.m. — Cleveland Township Caller is a Good Harbor Beach. Can see fireworks. Thinks it’s coming from Bohemian Beach.
Friday, June 14
4:59 p.m. —Glen Arbor Township Caller says there is a white Chevy Malibu that’s been parked in the street for over a week. Thinks it ought to be checked on.
6:20 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Neighbors’ kids are throwing caller’s plants.
9:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller is reporting a fight in front of the restaurant.
Saturday, June 15
12:33a.m.— LelandTownship Caller’s Toyota 4Runner was stolen in Leland. Caller gave address of where it might be. Car there.
1:37 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Loud party going on behind caller’s house. Caller just wants through to quiet down. (Area checked. Could not hear anything.)
2:31 a.m. — Elmwood Township Female slumped over in her car at gas station.
11:30 a.m. — Empire Township Caller’s ex-boyfriend followed her 40 minutes out to her job site.
11:36 a.m. — Leelanau Township Two horses in roadway. (Horses en route back to the pasture.)
12:17 p.m. — Empire Township Female left her 1 or 2-year-old in the vehicle and they were screaming.
1:47 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Park Service issued warning for using a drone at the Little Glen Lake Picnic Area.
2:32 p.m. — Empire Township Soft-sided cooler bag left in the parking lot at the beach. Turned over to the parking ambassador.
11:42 p.m.— Cleveland Township Caller is counselor at Camp Leelanau. He is reporting loud music coming from the Pyramid Point parking lot.
11:48 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township There is a bunch of kids outside yelling at each other and then they left in two vehicles some of them were possibly intoxicated.
Sunday, June 16
12:29 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Ex-boyfriend pulled a knife on caller.
1:08 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Initial call came in from a road assistance company. Caller said she put her car in the ditch but did not know exactly where she was. In custody for drunk driving.
2:39 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Guest has wandered away from room. She has been drinking. Last seen one hour ago on stairwell. (Guest was found before law enforcement
6:25 a.m. — Kasson Township Caller advised she went to pass a large, silver truck and when she did, it swerved at her so she could not pass. Then at a stop sign the driver of the truck got out and started to yell at her.
9:15 a.m. — Cleveland Township Caller was at Pyramid Point parking. Car was started but she forgot the electric key fob on top of the car. Drove to Leland for coffee. Shut car off. Realized the fob must have fallen off near parking area.
11:34 a.m. — Leland Township Returned from boating late yesterday aftern oon. Discovered their boat trailer had been severely damaged. Will need law enforcement at the launch. Driving a white, Ram truck.
11:42 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller’s boyfriend left last night on foot around midnight and hasn’t come back. (Subject located at work and he is OK.)
9:46 p.m. — Leland Township Neighbor’s dog barking nonstop. Caller advised the dog is currently barking but does not need an officer to respond. Just information only. (Caller would like to speak with the animal control officer when he is next on duty.)
Monday, June 17
9:29 a.m. — Bingham Township Dog at large. Caught the dog and was able to get him in the fenced backyard.
10:30 a.m. — Leland Township Blue and white-striped beach bag full of beach things.
11:30 a.m. — Kasson Township Maroon Chrysler minivan in the creek. No one around. Owner called and stated that he owns the vehicle and they have Brickyard on the way.
12:15 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Truck slid off the driveway and looks like it is going to tip over.
4:04 p.m. — Bingham Township Big, blue garbage can in the road on Center between Donner and Elm Valley.
4:36 p.m. — Bingham Township Road rage incident on northbound Lake Leelanau Drive. Driver punched caller’s vehicle with his hand and flipped them off … all while passing the,. Caller was slowing down for a deer. Would like to speak to a deputy.
7:13 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Two dogs locked in a silver Toyota SUV for the past two hours. (Per ranger, driver has a portable camping AC unit in the vehicle with the dogs. He will find a better solution next time.)
10:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Subject taken into custody for a bond violation.
10:47 p.m. — Cleveland Township Caller is reporting a possible attempted breaking and entering or a squatter at their lakehouse.
11:36 p.m. — Solon Township Caller was reading a book and thought she heard a gunshot. Caller is home with her dog. Would like the area checked. (Caller called back and would also like to speak with law enforcement. She thinks she over-reacted and states she has farms all around her. Dog is not going nuts, so she thinks no one is around. Area checked. Nothing out of the ordinary.)
