Tuesday, June 18
11:35 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Elderly woman walking on the side of the road doesn’t know where she lives.
6:20pm 6/18/2024 Citizen Assist Glen Arbor Twp., This morning there was a male who was blocking people in the parking lot and yelling and screaming at people, silver minivan, Chrysler.
Wednesday, June 19
1:47 a.m. — Empire Township Audi SUV parked across the street from the caller’s house with the lights on. Caller turned on motion light and the car moved to the other side of the street in front of neighbors. Caller just wants it noted. Caller called back. Advised the woman is there again. (Deputy north of town on foot helping look for a dog — a dachshund named “Zucchini.”)
Thursday, June 20
1:42 a.m. — Kasson Township People hanging out in the street being very loud. Caller would like them to quiet down.
9:15am 6/20/2024 Trespassing Leelanau Cty., Subject causing a disturbance, would like him trespassed.
2:49pm 6/20/2024 Threats Suttons Bay Twp., Witness intimidation.
4:48 p.m. — Empire Township Two men fighting over a backpack blower.
6:20 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township This morning there was a male who was blocking people in the parking lot and yelling and screaming at people. Silver Chrysler minivan.
Friday, June 21
8:53 a.m. — Elmwood Township Caller wants to speak to the lieutenant about threatening texts from a subject.
10:32 a.m. — Kasson Township Larceny of $1,000 worth of lumber.
10:54 a.m. — Empire Township Caller was at his Leelanau property this week. Just got home. Thinks a gun was left in the garage.
12:32 p.m. — Centerville Township Honda key fob lost two days ago.
1:37 p.m. — Elmwood Township Having an estate sale and purse was stolen off the porch.
3:18 p.m. — Leland Township Larceny of a necklace from business. Caller doesn’t want to speak to a deputy or press charges. Just wanted it logged as information.
8:38 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller would like a welfare check on subject. Caller is concerned because she stopped responding to her text messages and isn’t answering calls.
9:46 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township People laying in the street. Black Escalade went down St. Marys and took a left. Out with a bunch of people sitting and laying on the side of the road. EMS requested.
9:54 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller is requesting a welfare check on a friend who has been living out of his truck for a while. He has not been in contact with anyone in a while. And hasn’t been paying his rent for a while. (Welfare is fine.)
10:51 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller advising someone took her belongings thinking it was trash.
Saturday, June 22
9:11 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller is staying at Brook Haven Cottages. Taxi outside has been siting for more than an hour. Caller is nervous because it has been there for a long time and hasn’t picked up anyone.
Sunday, June 23
12:50 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Ex is present. Drunk and aggressive. (Both parties separated for the night.)
12:46 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Trump and “Support our Sheriff” signs taken overnight.
4:17 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Bicyclist advised, “if on the road, you have to abide by traffic laws.”
5:04pm 6/23/2024 Fire Lines Arcing Cleveland Twp., Caller heard massive popping, tree on line and grass is smoking, tree over primary line, will advise on Consumer’s if they are needed. Will need Consumer’s to cut the tree off, incident reported online, no longer arcing or sparking, tree still on the road but not hanging over the road.
8:22 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller is an off-duty park employee. Found 7-year-old dressed in all black standing on the side of the road crying, saying he lost his family. (Caller called back and advised that the family showed up and they have since left the scene with the child.
8:32 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller reports that someone is pretending to be her. Has stolen everything. No one is helping her. (Per law enforcement, caller did not want to speak anymore with him. Would not give name of the officer she previously spoke with.)
Monday, June 24
1:48 p.m. — Elmwood Township Suspicious looking motor home parked in the woods. Caller hasn’t seen actual illegal activity but thinks law enforcement should check it out.
2:30 p.m. — Solon Township Herd of 30 cows in caller’s yard.
10:11 p.m. — Elmwood Township Neighbor across the street is playing music really loud and working on his car. (Called back and advised that the noise has stopped and no response is needed.)
Tuesday, June 25
1:35 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Groups of kids gather. (All were returned to their parents who didn’t know they were out.)
6:43 a.m. — Bingham Township Neighbor is taking down caller’s no trespassing signs. He also keeps trespassing on caller’s property.
Wednesday, June 26
9:52 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township Gate was broke and the camera was knocked off.
12:47 p.m. — Leland Township Younger male tried to steal a jet ski. Still within sight of the dock on the jet ski.
4:59 p.m. — Leland Township Identity theft. Caller reported that someone filled out a loan application in caller’s name in 2021. Caller just found out about it. Needs a police report.
7:42 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller has kids jumping off the docks and barge at Discovery Center. (Law enforcement spoke with juveniles and parents. They have been formally trespassed.)
11:51 p.m. — Elmwood Township Traffic cones all over the road that may cause an issue.
Thursday, June 27
2:28 a.m. — Leland Township Family trouble. Caller is trying to get some belongings out of the house.
8:51 a.m. —Empire Township Craftsman 54-inch riding mower was parked on the driveway in front of the garage. It was there this morning at 7:15 and now it is gone.
9:28 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Son is being disrespectful.
3:07 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Requesting an officer to escort an individual out of the government center. Trespassed.
5:17 p.m. — Cleveland Township Lost wallet somewhere at Pyramid Point.
Friday, June 28
2:16 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Can hear loud yelling south of this location and will be headed there. (Deputy spoke with owner of the residence. She was arguing with her children about chores in the house. Verbal only. Not physical.)
2:31 p.m. — Empire Township Stolen property in barn, lawnmower and more items. Subject was supposed to get toolboxes but took other items.
6:57 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller states her two 14-year-old daughters were being followed around Suttons Bay by two men in a MINI Cooper.
7:16 p.m. — Leland Township Child is being combative and caller’s husband can’t restrain him.
7:35 p.m. — Leland Township Caller saw three kids walking around Lake Leelanau village. Caller was worried because there weren’t any parents around.
9:02 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Individual causing problems with her neighbors and they now believe she has been drinking and out driving around.
11:39 p.m. — Elmwood Township Something or someone keeps knocking nor throwing something against caller’s door. He’d like someone to check it out.
Saturday, June 29
4:53 a.m. — Elmwood Township Several people yelling outside.
10:06 a.m. — Bingham Township Renters are parking their cars in the road. (Deputy drove Lee Point Road, East, saw no illegal parking issues.)
8:19 p.m. — Leland Township Two subjects arguing on Lake Leelanau Narrows Bridge.
Sunday, June 30
1:43 a.m. — Leland Township Caller can hear footsteps on the roof and around the house. Caller called back and advised that there was no one around and if anything changes, she will call back. Law enforcement not needed.
4:16 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township About 50 feet off the shore from caller’s house, there is a strobe in the water. Notify marine patrol.
11:36 a.m. — Bingham Township Caller hasn’t been able to get in touch with mom since yesterday. Law enforcement checked house and garage. No one home. No vehicles in the driveway or garage.
11:43 a.m. — Leelanau Township Caller saw a man dumping construction materials, possibly a blue SUV.
3:58 p.m. — Centerville Township Man running in middle of the roadway. Wearing a red vest, red hat, dog running in the middle of the roadway. (Law enforcement located person. He’s running safely on the side of the road with his dog and highly visible clothes on.)
7:15 p.m. — Empire Township Farmstand in front of house. Folks showed up on a motorcycle and grabbed $80 to $100 worth of goods.
9:41 p.m. — Solon Township Caller advised her daughter went over to her dad’s house to get some things and had an altercation with the tenant. Caller also advised she would like an officer to do a civil standby at the residence so they can pick up the rest of their belongings.
11:38 p.m. — Neighbor is playing loud acoustic music by the lake. Would like them to keep it down. Caller does not need to be seen. (Law enforcement spoke with individual. Will be done for the night.)
Monday, July 1
2:15 p.m. — Leland Township Caller moved out at the end of May and now lives in Williamsburg. Caller needs to collect the rest of her things but feels unsafe.
3:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Loud music playing for the last 25 minutes. Large group. (Law enforcement checked out the beach. It’s packed. But hearing any music now.)
4:39 p.m. — Leland Township Trucks parked halfway into the roadway. Impeding traffic. (They have proper signage.)
6:59 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Possibly OD’ed male walked to end of the coal dock. Was initially slumped over the wheel of his silver Rabbit.
7:26 p.m. — Empire Township Received automated message advising the owner of an iPhone was in a severe car crash. Dispatch cannot get owner on the line. (Owners of the phone had it fall off the roof of their car.) Phone reunited with owner.
10:51 p.m. —Bingham Township Caller is reporting her mom is throwing and breaking things.
11:10 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller heard some sort of noise she has never heard before, outside near her trampoline. She thought it might be kids yelling or it could be an animal. Caller requests a property check. (Checked. Couldn’t hear anything.)
