Tuesday, September 6
9:01:28am 9/6/2022 Found Property West-Bay Shore, Found a leopard print bag on a job site with a lot of purses and wallets inside.
5:20 p.m. — Elmwood Township — At or near a house a dog has been barking most of the day. Caller’s concerned for its welfare.
9:20 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller states neighbor next to him was asking for car battery to be turned on. Per caller, he returned to campground to provide a jump. Park ranger is not confident that subject will wait until morning or completely understands why it is bad form or upsetting to others to wander into their campsites at this hour. Jump successful.
9:36:26pm 9/6/2022 Larceny Empire, Caller has a stand in front of her home and is short money from the drop box. Believes that someone stole approx. $150 worth of items from their stand.
Wednesday, September 7
3:49 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Man screaming for help at the west end of Little Traverse Lake. He advises he got separated and lost in the woods. (Male taken into custody.)
7:52 a.m. — Kasson Township — Subject swallowed denture. Can’t see it. Not choking.
1:17:28pm 9/7/2022 Traumatic Injury W. Northwood Dr., Two bicycles crashed. Priority 1.
3:13:25pm 9/7/2022 Citizen Assist Elmwood Twp., 11-year-old got off at wrong bus stop. Needs to get home. En route to house.
9:40 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller states every Wednesday there is a party at the pavilions at the Elmwood Park. It is happening right now. Normally goes until about midnight.
10:22:30pm 9/7/2022 Suspicious Vehicle E. Traverse Hwy., Two male occupants in Mini Cooper. They were practicing driving stick shift.
Thursday, September 8
4:15 a.m. —Leland Township — Facebook post “Suspended by the throat. I was literally happier being homeless. Your Jesus was homeless and dirty. Put that in your pipe and smoke it homie.” Law enforcement made contact. Subject is fine. No selfharm
4:44 a.m. — Centerville Township — Abandoned 911 call. Tried to return call and it went straight to voicemail. Law enforcement spoke with caller. Everyone is fine. Both in a cheery mood. Just go home from driving all night and were headed to bed.
8:02 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Lost car keys on bike trail. Twelve keys on a ring.
10:12 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Subject was sending bizarre texts last night. Caller speaks with him every day at 8 a.m. and has not responded to calls or texts. (Per law enforcement, subject is stressed because of a civil matter. But otherwise, he is OK.)
4:39:46pm 9/8/2022 Info E. Duck Lake Rd., Put up political signs at address and they were stolen. States only Republican signs are being stolen.
4:49:51pm 9/8/2022 Suspicious Incident S. West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller is reporting 2-3 kids drinking beer behind the market, advised they look way too young to be drinking.
6:18 p.m. — Kasson Township — Person is choking on steak.
8:48 p.m. — Bingham Township— Callerthinks someone is shooting fireworks off. Could have also possibly been a gunshot. (Law enforcement can hear noise, but nothing visual. Will continue to investigate. Possible air cannon for vineyard. There was nothing further that could be done.)
11:52:11pm 9/8/2022 Trespassing Suttons Bay, reporting party was leaving work and female was parked by her car and came running up on her and tried to hit her. Someone did intervene, it was the female’s ex, who works there as well.
Friday, September 9
5:14:23am 9/9/2022 Noise Suttons Bay, There is a private residence next to the vineyard. Caller states he spoke with winery and they assured him that their air cannon is off during the night. There is a residence somewhere near that has started an apple orchard and believes it belongs to them.
7:57:34am 9/9/2022 Grass Fire S. West-Bay Shore Dr., Somebody left a campfire going on the beach and caller can’t put it out.
9:11 a.m. — Bingham Township — Three Great Pyrenees running on M-22. One has a cone on its head.
3:55 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller twisted her ankle on the beach and needs help getting back. Can’t get a hold of her husband. (Made it back to the parking lot.)
10:49 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller states that someone is standing outside at the bottom of their driveway. They are feeling very scared because they are not used to having people in the area. Caller saw one person. Unknown if it is male or female. Caller advises that she doesn’t need to meet with a deputy. (Law enforcement checked out. Unable to find any issues.)
Saturday, September 10
10:04 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Repossession of a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe.
3:49 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller saw someone going into a home through a window. He thinks they may be breaking in.
6:33:17pm 9/10/2022 Missing Person S. Dune Hwy., Dune Climb, Two international students male and a female have been missing since 12:30pm; both 25. Have returned.
6:58:31pm 9/10/2022 Disorderly Peshawbestown, Tribal police received a call from a female who stated two males were yelling curse words at her on the street. Made contact with the two males.
Sunday, September 11
1:31:39am 9/11/2022 Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile Leland, Caller advises someone stole her golfcart between 11pm and 1am. Not where she left it, she searched the area.
2:22:11pm 9/11/2022 Malicious Destruction of Property Empire Hwy., Six dirt bikers were riding on farmland and then took off in all directions. They destroyed the soybean field as well as some of the dirt roads.
3:36:45pm 9/11/2022 Neighbor Cleveland Twp. Reporting party is having issues with his neighbor again. Caller likes to shoot targets at this house and his neighbor is more of less harassing him every time he shoots his guns, because the neighbor doesn’t like it. Also received a 911 call from the neighbor’s wife, she advised her whole family is distraught over the shooting of guns. She was made aware that he is legally allowed to shoot his guns whenever he wants if he is shooting at targets on his property.
Monday, September 12
5:47:19am 9/12/2022 Road Hazard S. Solon Rd., Caller is reporting an injured coyote in the middle of the roadway.
2:33:27pm 9/12/2022 Trespassing Cedar Has bird-deterrent speakers in his vineyard that make predatory bird sounds which is allowed under the Michigan Right-to-Farm Act. Someone has cut the wires to the power supply.
Tuesday, September 13
3:44 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Motorist was driving down the road when stung by a bee on foot. Allergic.
7:12 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Neighbors whipping around the open roads with no helmet or regard to anyone. Keep going up and down SugarLoaf Mountain Road. Believes they are teenagers in the area. Caller called back and stated the kids are back at home now, but states it is a recurring thing.
Wednesday, September 14
9:11 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Mercedes Sprinter van camping overnight at Peterson Park. Truck on the north side with doors open and clothes laying around, but there is no one there.
10:15 a.m. — Leland Township — White Honda, small SUV, on the side of the road. Male laying down on the pavement with an empty wine bottle. Outside the car. Caller asked subject if he was OK. Subject said he was fine. (One taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.)
12:41 p.m. — Empire Township — Single cement truck into a tree. No injuries. The truck is also dumping cement. Driver was advised they are going to have some of their own trucks come and pull them out.
6:50 p.m. — Centerville Township — Neighbor barged into caller’s apartment and has been harassing her for a couple months.
Thursday, September 15
5:04 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller accepted money from overseas and changed it out at bank; sending it back overseas.
8:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller thinks elderly mother is being abused. Caller tried to reach her, but her phone is either disconnected or blocking caller.
8:39 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller was swimming today and there was a fully- clothed male who came out of the water and stated that his boat had capsized. Last saw the man two hours ago. Thinks he should be checked on.
Friday, September 16
8:57 a.m. — Leland Township — Subject helped someone last night and doesn’t want to risk hurting his back again.
10:54 a.m. — Centerville Township — Caller reports someone cut his bird-deterrent wires.
6:59 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller left her fanny pack in a portable toilet.
9:29 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller was at the Overlook parking lot an hour ago and there was an Amish family there with 10 kids awaiting on a caller. Caller is concerned that they may not have gotten picked up and they would have no way to call and contact help in the area.
11:41 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller’s Hungarian Kuvasz jumped the fence. Dog’s full name is Mary Sugar Magnolia and she’s microchipped. (Dog made its way home.)
Saturday, September 17
6:05 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Horses in the road. Trying to get two horses home. Not having much luck. (Horses back in. Hole mended.)
8:45 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Tall male at the orchard, trying to “break in” to the orchard at a fence on the south side of Smith Road, about a quarter mile south of South Shore Drive. Caller was a passerby who continued on. Unable to describe the male. Would like a call from a deputy. (Couple on a golf cart trying to figure out what bird cannons were.)
10:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s ex is coming to the house and is threatening to take his belongings.
10:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller had two dogs outside in the backyard area when the neighbor’s bull Mastiff mix attacked caller’s Jack Russell Terrier.
11:40 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller’s dog ran off. Straight white wavy coat. “Sugar” is 98 lbs. and ran off about 15 minutes ago. (Dog returned home.)
Monday, September 19
8:09 a.m. — Empire Township — Someone broke into cash box at fruit stand and stole money.
8:59 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller has trail cams for trespassers. Have a picture of neighbor walking horse across the property, Has been told to stay off. Property is posted.
9:58 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller needs someone to cut ring off.
1:22 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller had his license plate stolen at campground.
3:42 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller received an SOS emergency message from sister and now she is not answering her. She does have some medical issues. (No emergency. Sister was driving and her phone dialed 911.)
7:09 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Victim of an internet wire transfer to Hong Kong.
7:20 p.m. — Bingham Township — Someone is being loud and building a house next to her. She would like someone to speak with them because she wants them to stop working. Lot being built on is right next door to caller’s. (Per law enforcement caller’s house is dark and construction site is dark.)
7:25 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Two houses east of the caller’s address there is yelling and crying. “You’re the worst parents in the world.” Seems to be escalating. (Law enforcement checked out. No physical altercation.)
7:39 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Three horses in the road. No one home at the house. No bridles.
