Throbbing Cabin is in Leelanau County whose local weekly newspaper, the Leelanau Enterprise, publishes the dispatch calls to 911. Additional reporting by The Ticker.

Wednesday, October 26

10:23 a.m. — Solon Township — Gentleman called because someone was wearing a T-shirt stating “take Brandon to the train station” and he believes it is a message to kill Joe Biden.

Thursday, October 27

11:05 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller bought a boat but has not received it. Contacted bank stating he thinks it is a fraud and wants his money back.

1:51 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Sculpture taken sometime last night from caller’s yard. Contemporary iron sculpture looks like a man with his head looking down. Six feet tall. (Caller found the sculpture dragged behind the building.)

2:13 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is in Florida and neighbor called her and said there’s a truck with a trailer and a big camper on her property loading up wood. Caller is unable to get in touch with her son to see if he gave permission to anyone. (It was the owner’s son on the property. He has contacted his mother.)

3:27 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Group of alpacas running down the road. (Owner contacted and she is going to try and get them.)

Friday, October 28

8:32 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Car parked on the road blocking with lights and hazards on. Vehicle is running, but there is no one in it. Full of hunting equipment. (Subject locked out of his car. Trying to get it open.)

Saturday, October 29

1:34 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller is staying at her dad’s house. Has seen a flashlight outside 20 minutes ago and then again just a minute ago. No neighbors. Shouldn’t be anyone out there. Only one vehicle in the driveway.

3:40 p.m. — Bingham Township — Neighbor making accusations about the caller. Putting GPS on his car and flying drone. Neighbor is coming onto his frontage property. Just wants it documented.

8:37 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller was at park an hour ago near the tennis courts. There was a child there acting strange and watching the caller and her kids. Walked around the caller’s car and was talking to himself.

Sunday, October 30

2:27 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller left Munson around 10 minutes ago. Has an IV in his right arm. Needs someone to at least make sure the IV is taken out.

Monday, October 31

5:59 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Verbal altercation.

Tuesday, November 1

1:23:23pm 11/1/2022 Suspicious Incident Solon Twp., Caller believes that in late summer someone stole things from her residence.

4:23:34pm 11/1/2022 Misc Juvenile Suttons Bay, Daughter was attacked by another girl.

5:59:51pm 11/1/2022 Alarm Glenwood Twp., EPS alarm. EPS called back and was canceled by the homeowner. 

7:14:32pm 11/1/2022 Deer S Bugai Rd & E Lincoln Rd., Caller hit a deer, Road Commission notified of deer. 

8:09:38pm 11/1/2022 Fire Alarm Lake Leelanau, Caller hears alarms coming from inside the front porch and sees flashing lights. No smoke or flames. 

9:14:08pm 11/1/2022 Headache Leelanau Cty., Headache. Priority 3.

Wednesday, November 2

8:49:18am 11/2/2022 Animal Control Elmwood Twp., Says there is a dog that is constantly barking (could hear it in the background), starts at about 6am every day when it's tied outside and sometimes continues until noon. 

11:20:21am 11/2/2022 Animal Control Empire Twp., Caller bit by dog, cheek. Went to residence for cleaning. 

11:46 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — A 60-ish year-old man and his two sons are living/ trespassing on a 40-acre parcel owned by the township on Miller Hill. There’s litter. Appears to have been going on for months. Hunter, walkers, joggers are in fear.

5:49:00pm 11/2/2022 Animal Control Bingham Twp., "Lucy” gold colored cat got out this morning. Lucy returned safely.

11:03:26pm 11/2/2022 Welfare Check Elmwood Twp., Caller's mother has not been heard from in 2 days and the family has not heard from her either, all calls go straight to voicemail. Update: Both units clear on stand down, phone was just dead.

Thursday, November 3

3:28:40am 11/3/2022 Found Property Glen Arbor, Found a small black backpack. 

11:03:39am 11/4/2022 Suspicious Incident Elmwood Twp., Note on the door of the residence.

11:14:40am 11/4/2022 Animal Control E Duck lake and N Herman Rd., Yellow lab running in the road wearing a red collar. Caller is hanging onto the dog until the owner is located. 

11:24:59am 11/4/2022 Warrant Arrest Elmwood Twp., 45-06 Called out with someone flagging him down. Made contact and 1 in custody. 

11:38:50am 11/4/2022 Motor Vehicle Crash Cherry Bend Rd., Spoke to the subject who hit a pole and admitted guilt. They will get with the township and take care of things civilly.

12:23:57pm 11/4/2022 Neighbor Suttons Bay, Caller and spouse were riding their bikes and believe the neighbors “buzzed” by them.  

5:20 p.m. — Leland Township — Brush pile burn. Per DNR web page, no burning today. Homeowner was shown the DNR page confirming no burning. Fire is extinguished.

Friday, November 4

11:03 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Suspicious incident; note left on door of residence.

6:55 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Guy is saying someone ran into him. Standing outside. Blue jacket. Yelling and screaming at patrons.

8:05 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Group ordered food and did not pay for all of it. They are not returning calls or coming back to restaurant.

Saturday, November 5

7:53:28am 11/5/2022 Suspicious Incident S Elm St., Caller arrived to play pickleball at the middle school and there was an open door. Building was checked and everything is secure.  

9:43:52am 11/5/2022 Alarm Maple City, Silent panic alarm. Update: bacon set off smoke alarms and they typed the wrong code in. 

12:30 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller needs subject trespassed from parents property.

4:42 p.m. — Leland Township — Citation issued for violation of controlled substance.

7:53 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller is requesting a check on his residence. Google Nest shows the heat being turned on at the house and no one should be there. (House secure per law enforcement. Call advised it could have been left on by mistake by cleaners.)

8:47 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Deer ran out in front of vehicle. Driver swerved to miss it. Rolled his truck. It is upright now. Driver was able to take the vehicle home.

Sunday, November 6

12:12 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Possible drunk driver leaving casino. Vehicle stopped. Driver arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.

1:26 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller needs help getting out of lift chair due to no power.

10:49 a.m. — Centerville Township — Walking dog on leash and neighbor’s dog attacked caller’s. Not first occurrence.

11:07 a.m. — Kasson Township — Political sign taken. Doesn’t want to see deputy. Just wants it noted.

2:30 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller has been trying to get in touch with her mom for two weeks.

4:25:16pm 11/6/2022 Lost Property Leelanau Cty., Lost wallet Friday evening, 11/4/2022, last place remember having it was Holiday. Brown, thin wallet. 

5:55:05pm 11/6/2022 Motor Vehicle Crash South Lakeshore Dr., Ran into a tree. Send Leland with a saw.

8:06:05am 11/6/2022 Citizen Arrest Leelanau Cty., Caller is reporting people at the park and no one is supposed to be there. He is concerned because there has been drug activity and break ins at the pavilion and doesnt want that to keep happening. 

Monday, November 7

5:30:10am 11/7/2022 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Reporter is calling from the lodge, hears screaming coming from the “back 40” out at the lodge. Can't find anything, thinks it could have possibly been an animal. Still checking the area, UTL.

7:46 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Neighbor has debris around yard. High winds have blown it into her yard and wants it cleaned up.

10:01:48am 11/7/2022 Misc. Glen Arbor, Sailboat washed up on shore, sunfish style. Registered owner gave it to someone 2 summers ago.

12:28:17pm 11/7/2022 Animal Control Leland Twp., Red doberman running in the road. Caller thinks it belongs to a resident nearby because they have seen it before. 

1:42 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is concerned for friend and threats he’s making.

3:58 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Woman in a black SUV is walking on caller’s property. Dancing around. When asked to leave she can walk where she wants. May be under the influence of drugs. Second caller. Driver behind the vehicle northbound on M-22. Going extremely slow (15 to 20 mph) and is waving her arm out the window. Vehicle on the side of the road with hazards on. Female is down by the water. Said she doesn’t need assistance.

8:59 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Landlord’s daughter is threatening caller.

Tuesday, November 8

9:05:51am 11/8/2022 Lost Property Suttons Bay, Found a laptop on the side of the road. 

11:09:51am 11/8/2022 Medical Alarm Leelanau Cty., Pressed her medical alarm but no response on callback. Accidental trip, no emergency. 

12:55:49pm 11/8/2022 Suspicious Person Leelanau Cty., Irate voter, screaming and ranting. Says she wants to vote but is unwilling to fill out any paperwork. All has settled, will be staying around until after done voting.  

2:43:30pm 11/8/2022 Citizen Arrest Lake Leelanau, An unknown female is using her name in attempt to collect money from other people. 

5:00:27pm 11/8/2022 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Cty., Caller reported someone shot at his house causing damage to siding of the house.

Wednesday, November 9

12:40 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Male is renting a room at this location and the landlord has locked him out of the residence. He has also thrown out his dog.

4:24:48am 11/8/2022 Fire Smoke Leland Twp., Report of a strong smell or odor of smoke. No hazards found. 

9:39 p.m. — Kasson Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.

10:45 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller was pulling into his street and there was a truck with two kids in the back of the truck. Kids were in their 20s.

Thursday, November 10

6:37 a.m. — Kasson Township — Caller owns a house at this address and she has been renting it. Caller is advising that renter has taken refrigerator and washing machine from the residence.

9:11 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller requests someone come and help him get a log out of the water that is damaging his boat house. Is adamant that someone take care of this because his wife is in the water trying to remove it.

3:12:06pm 11/10/2022 Larceny Empire Twp., Someone cut the catalytic converter of his car.

5:11 p.m. — Solon Township — Neighbor stole wallet three weeks ago and lots of tools and lumber. Caller wants to talk to an office about his trailer being damage and his neighbor coming onto his property.

Friday, November 11

8:56 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Victim of fraud and identity theft. IRS contacted him and advised he needs a police report for them to conduct investigation

9:20 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller purchased two pack of gum with debit card. He was subsequently charged more than $150 for various grocery items. Manage has a record of the sale. It appears to be a glitch in the system and not a crime. Actions being taken to correct the issue.

12:51 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Starving cows. No grass on ground. Cow bent and stretching under fence to get grass. Can see cows bones.

4:32 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Trail cam shows someone “mooning” them. Cut orchard hose in middle of driveway.

4:39 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller says his wife stole marijuana that he grew and had stored in a bedroom.

8:58:06pm 11/11/2022 Gunshots Bingham Twp., Caller believes she is hearing gunshots coming from the direction of M22. Unable to hear any gunshots, out with the reporter talking.

Saturday, November 12

7:40:51am 11/12/2022 MDOP Leelanau Twp., Looks like someone drove by and tossed a pumpkin at his mailbox destroying same. 

Sunday, November 13

12:23:43am 11/13/2022 Disorderly Conduct Solon Twp., Ex boyfriend is pounding on the door, trying to get in but caller does not want him there. He has been picked up by a family member, does not wish for anything further to happen tonight. 

9:31:58pm 11/13/2022 Fire Structure Leelanau Cty., Garage on fire attached to house, caller used a fire extinguisher and thinks the fire is out. Everyone has evacuated and checking the basement for heat. Fire is out, working on ventilation. 

Monday, November 14

6:43 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller would like a standby at his daughter’s day care when he goes and picks her up.

8:22 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Report came over text reporting neighbors are fighting and children can be heard crying.

9:59 p.m. — Solon Township — Son has taken too much medication of his own and others he should not take.
