Weekly Dispatch Blotter Highlights: Issue #15 Neighbors’ horses are outside of the fence
Every week, Leelanau county's (where our cabin is located) weekly newspaper, Leelanau Enterprise, publishes the dispatch calls to 911. These are the highlights.
These are all real calls.
Thursday, Nov. 5
12:09 a.m. —Kasson Township — Grand Traverse County is requesting a deputy check an address for a stolen vehicle. Silver 2021 Toyota Highlander with black trim. Registered owner’s son took the vehicle without permission.
Friday, Nov. 6
12:49 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Subject is beating on caller’s door. Out in the yard yelling. Law enforcement made contact with caller. She was advised that there is no one around her residence.
11:59 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Loud party. Caller does not need to be seen. (Per law enforcement, there was sporadic laughter that does not cross the roadway. No report)
Saturday, Nov. 7
6:12 p.m. — Empire Township — Subject is tracking deer on caller’s property. Did not have permission. Wanted it noted in case there were break-ins.
1:16 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Neighbor is egging caller into a confrontation.
2:27 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller would like to speak with an officer about having his family trespassed from the property.
4:07 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Neighbors’ horses are outside of the fence.
Sunday, Nov. 8
2:35 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Lifted white truck with two large smoke stacks and gray lettering on side. Occupied by two males who stopped at the end of caller’s driveway and revved engine and squealed tires causing black marks on the road. Repeated three times.
10:48 a.m. — Solon Township — Every day around 10:30 a.m. a blue truck drives past and blares their horn and yells nasty thing about caller being a Democrat.
11:36 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller saw a man driving his car, allowing his dog to run along on the outside of the vehicle.
4 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s father came onto property and started moving some things, such as her plant and personal belongings.
10:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Neighbor left his vehicle parked on caller’s property that is shared with a third neighbor.
