Throbbing Cabin is located in Leelanau County whose local weekly newspaper, the Leelanau Enterprise, publishes the dispatch calls to 911. These are the highlights.
These are all real calls.

Wednesday, April 14
11:44 a.m. —Bingham Township — Caller is receiving strange letters from someone in Grand Traverse County.
7:20 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Daughter is home now and is destroying the house. Male is not responding to dispatcher. Female is trying to break windows.
Thursday, April 15
9:12 a.m. — Leland Township — Juveniles spray painting bridge. Made a fort underneath.
10:14 a.m. — Leland Township — Construction crew is parking vehicles in the roadway,
everyday. Caller thinks it’s a road hazard and would like the resident to get a break from all the trucks in the area. (Deputy made contact with construction crew. Most vehicle are fine. Trying to get trailer unstuck currently.)
4:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller believes that at sometime someone was in her house. She noticed that the lock to her basement door was unhooked and she always locks it.
8:28 p.m. — Kasson Township — Large, black bull in the roadway.
Friday, April 16
9 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Property dispute. Caller says neighbor is now digging up and “stealing” rocks and boulders from his deceased mother’s property.
11:45 a.m. — Bingham Township — Poultry at large. Warning issued.
9:46 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller was driving through the area. There was a large display of fireworks in the area. (Per deputy everything is quiet now.)
Saturday, April 17
5:14 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Child, age 2, is locked in car. Child is content and not in distress. Caller was provided number for lockout. Vehicle opened. Child is safe and happy.
Sunday, April 18
6:44 p.m. —Leland Township — Large white dog comes onto caller’s property quite often and tries to get to caller’s dog. Seems friendly but caller would like to talk with animal control officer.
10:14 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller smells an acid-like odor in the air possibly from an illegal burn. He doesn’t know where it’s coming from but they only smell it at night.
Monday, April 19
9:28 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller had lawn maintenance equipment stolen off work trailer on Friday between noon and 1:30 p.m.
10:36 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Loose cattle. Three, not in the roadway.
2:10 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White and tan donkey at large. Owner’s daughter and father are out assisting.
2:48 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Blue Mazda sedan southbound with mattress that is not secure.
3:02 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Older red Chevy truck keeps driving by their job site every hour. Caller thinks they may be casing the place. Caller would like to see a deputy about it.
