Weekly Dispatch Blotter Highlights: Issue #4 Unruly female causing a scene.
Every week, Leelanau county's (where our cabin is located) weekly newspaper, Leelanau Enterprise, publishes the dispatch calls to 911. These are the highlights.
These are all real calls.
(This weeks published calls are missing half of Wednesday and all of Thursday hence the round up is a bit light this week.)
Wednesday, Aug. 19
1:56 p.m. — Leland Township — Owner thinks vehicle was stolen. Keys last accounted for was 10 previous night. Parked in front of house. Less than half a tank of gas.
Friday, Aug. 21
2:19 a.m. — Kasson Township — Caller’s neighbor is possibly drunk and passed out in his vehicle with stereo full blast. Car may not be in park.
3:05 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller received a call from a “Social Security Scammers.” Person was very convincing that he had broken the law. Caller was smart enough to hang up as he knows that Social Security doesn’t call like that.
Saturday, Aug. 22
9 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Dog across the road from caller is constantly barking.
10:58 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township —Caller can hear screaming and yelling going on. Male and female. (Per law enforcement, the subjects were not in any disagreement but were probably doing something else.)
Sunday, Aug. 23
7:35 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Three persons sleeping in a vehicle.
10:33 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Unruly female causing a scene.
4:15 p.m. — Kasson Township — Ongoing problem with dog chasing cars. Was in the field chasing after an ATV.
Monday, Aug. 24
12:03 a.m. — Bingham Township — Wife is not supposed to be here and she is yelling and scratched the caller. Caller would not separate and hung up. Did not answer on call back. (Caller finally answered callback.) Three individuals at the residence. Two males are drunk. No injuries.
8:52 a.m. — Bingham Township — Suspicious incident.
7:03 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Four to five teenagers spray painting in the skate park.
Tuesday, Aug. 25
1:33 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller’s wife heard someone outside. Heard footsteps just underneath the window. All doors and windows are locked. (Law enforcement unable to locate anything on a walk around.)
