Weekly Dispatch Blotter Highlights: Issue #41 Caller reports husband is cold to the touch
Throbbing Cabin is in Leelanau County whose local weekly newspaper, the Leelanau Enterprise, publishes the dispatch calls to 911. These are the highlights.
These are all real calls.

Wednesday, May 12
12:50 p.m. — Suttons Bay — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.
8:09 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller usually speaks to her friend every day. Unable to reach her. Last time this happened she was at Munson. (Contact made. Friend will telephone caller.)
8:58 p.m. — Bingham Township — Husband and wife had a verbal argument with 16-year-old son.
10:27 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller said neighbor is burning debris. It is very smoky in caller’s house. (Deputy took a look and didn’t see anything.)
Thursday, May 13
11:20 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller reports husband is cold to the touch.
9:09 p.m. — Empire Township — Two cows in the roadway. Owner showed up in a vehicle. He will get them where they are supposed to be.
10:45 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller has had several things stolen from parcel in the law few days. There’s been a white truck in the area seen by neighbors with another tan vehicle (possibly a Chevy). One older male and two younger males were seen.
11:48 p.m. — Empire Township — Man is walking around yard checking out the area. Caller thinks it’s suspicious. (Law enforcement patrolled and didn’t see anything.)
Friday, May 14
5:11 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller said she had three very large trees cut down in her front yard. Tire marks on the lawn and a lot of the tree pieces have been taken which should not have happened. (Not a police matter, per law enforcement.)
Saturday, May 15
11:35 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Three people riding dirt bikes on caller’s property through the woods and also on neighbor’s farm. Ongoing issue.
1:37 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is trying to kick a 30-year-old male out of this residence. Subject is acting aggressively.
7:25 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller hears screaming, yelling and hitting. Parties include, at least two people — one male, one female. Nothing physical. (No signs of physical assault.)
1:58 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller was gone and his Cadillac Eldorado that was parked off the side of the driveway has two dents in the center of the hood. Looks like the car’s been keyed. Caller believes it was malicious.
9:28 p.m. — Empire Township — Three people still not back from the Dune Climb. Two subjects, 18 and 19-years-old. Was supposed to meet at the car but they have not been back and haven’t seen them in about 30 minutes. (They returned safely.)
9:47 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller reports a man in the middle of intersection. Being loud and obnoxious. Charging at people. Seems to be very drunk. He got into a vehicle and drove quickly south without turning headlights on. (Subject located. Arrested for operating while intoxicated.)
Sunday, May 16
2:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller saw a group of young people going through the abandoned end of the building. (Law enforcement spoke with three females.)
6:38 p.m. —Bingham Township — Illegal burn at residence north of Crain Hill. Burning construction supplies. Smoke coming from burn pit in the back yard. (Per law enforcement, it was a recreational burn ring, well within legal rights.)
8:09 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller states a person with a “parachute-type thing” with a motor passed overhead and then it appeared to be in trouble. (No distress.)
9:19 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Couple in a blue tent were at the Greilickville Park. Caller advised them there is no overnight camping but they were packing up slowly. Caller would like someone to pass through late at night. (Law enforcement checked several times during the night. No campers.)
Don’t be an ass. Wear a damned mask. Unless you’re fully vaxxed but don’t be stupid.
