Tuesday, Sept. 7
9:28am 09/07/21 Suspicious Incident, N. Grand Ave. in Leland, Incident on playground on Sunday involving a male yelling about the school and the Superintendent while children and parents were present.
10:14pm 09/07/21 Wire Down, W. Reynolds St., Reporting party was notified via an email from a resident that the electrical line has been exposed again from a washout near the beach area at the end of Reynolds Beach. Consumers notified.
Wednesday, Sept. 8
9:04 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller stopped at a light at M-22 and M-72 when a man in a teal shirt, walking with a cane, jumped in the back of his truck and started to go through his tool boxes.
11:56 a.m. — Leland Township — Man on bicycle eastbound with green M-22 hoodie is getting aggressive with motorists. “Flipping them off.”
12:30 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Male standing in caller’s driveway dancing.
6:49 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller was picking up his kids at school and notice a white can with Washington State plates. Caller has not been seen before. It appears they may be living out of the van.
Thursday, Sept. 9
12:29 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Neighbor has a dog that barks all night. Caller has a wooded lot and can see him.
2:24 p.m. — Centerville Township — Man cam onto caller’s property. Walked behind the house. (Said he was looking for his cat.)
4:21 p.m. — Bingham Township — Northbound orange vehicle traveling over the center and fog line. (Contact made with driver. Has a new kitten in front seat that was distracting her.)
11:42 p.m. —Glen Arbor Township — Multiple complaints about party.
Friday, Sept. 10
9:28 a.m. — Kasson Township — Elderly female found on the side of the road. She is confused and doesn’t know where she is. (Husband on the scene. Woman wandered out of her house and is in good health.)
8:05pm 09/10/21 Welfare Check, S. Bohemian Rd., Reporting party’s son received a Snapchat stating that he was overdosing on meth. Subject may be in Ludington or in Leelanau County. Mobile Medical Response (MMR) toned. Stand down MMR. Subject not on scene. Mom is on the phone now. He is in Ludington. Mason County updated with the address provided by mom.
Saturday, Sept. 11
10:15 a.m. — Solon Township — Neighbors are hitting golf balls and they keep landing on caller’s property. Caller has asked them previously to stop. But woke up this morning to more balls in the yard. (Per law enforcement it appears that all are members of the same family, so family dynamics are playing a role. Golf balls were being hit by children with baseball bats. Mom admonished them and instructed them that no more golf balls will be hit from their yard.)
1:01 p.m. — Bingham Township — Suspicious vehicle with two females running down the roadway. They left their cell phone on the top of the car, heard it when it fell.
1:56 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Store is closed. Someone took a $200 roll of coconut straw. They left $12 but the item was not for sale. (Item was returned undamaged and the parties agree that this will be the end of the incident.)
1:56 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller’s 21-year-old son was in a relationship a sex offender on tether. Caller would like someone to look into being on parole for criminal sexual conduct.
2:17 p.m. — Kasson Township — Former wife is sending threats to wife’s phone.
3:45 p.m. —Leland Township — A dozen ladies on motorcycles in the parking lot of post office now parked on Pearl Street in the road.
4:03 p.m. — Leland Township — Man didn’t have a booth at the Street Fair. Set up outside the entrance. (Man who was causing a disturbance has departed.)
6:31 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone id doing construction on caller’s farmland and they do not have permission to use the land. (Owner of the company that cause the damage will meet with the caller and try to make it right with the property owner.)
7:33 p.m. — Empire Township — Teenage boys hitting golf balls into the water. Caller asked them to stop, but they wouldn’t. Park Service advised. (Park Service contacting parents to come pick them up.)
11:24 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller is depressed and single. Broke up with girlfriend. PTSD is over the edge right not. Has not self-harmed and is no t suicidal. Caller’s mother was calling when on the phone. Caller stated his mom could help him through this and asked to get off the phone. (Made contact with the caller. He is calmer now after talking to mom.)
11:30 p.m. — Kasson Township — Step son is drunk and banging on the doors. He was trying to break into his vehicle. There are four people in the house. (Per law enforcement, nothing criminal has occurred. Will make contact with step son and advise he is not to go to ex’s house when he has been drinking.)
Sunday, Sept. 12
7 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller was walking her dog tonight and a dog ran out unleashed charging her. Ongoing issues with the dog running out very aggressively. This dog has bitten other dogs and people in the past according to caller. Northing happened tonight by caller would like a deputy to speak with the owner.)
7:29 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is having a verbal dispute with her husband. Caller is asking him to leave and he is refusing, Caller advised an ongoing argument about potential divorce. Lots of emotional an verbal abuse over the years. (Law enforcement spoke with both parties. Verbal only. Female may leave for the evening.)
12:56pm 09/12/21 Animal Control Injury, S West Bay Shore Dr, Suffering fox with mange and injured front leg near the east side of the roadway. Unable to find the fox.
9:47 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — There is a white truck in front of caller’s address. People have been screaming at each other for 10 to 15 minutes.
Monday, Sept. 13
1:21 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller believes there’s a prowler on his property. He heard a voice outside. Male voice. Couldn’t make out what it said. No one has tried to open any doors. Caller hasn’t seen anything.
6:47 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller has an approved dog park by his association and has questions regarding noise and ordinances. Was confronted by a neighbor.
7:20 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller is in the bathroom and can hear someone in the house. Heard door open and shit and voices. (Per law enforcement the scene is secure.)
12:03 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller wants police to come over. Daughter is going to take off to Saginaw with her children in a car that caller believes is unsafe. (Law enforcement spoke with daughter who was “extremely uncooperative.” Advised that if she left with that vehicle there would be a BOL (be on lookout) as the registration is expired and there’s no insurance.)
2:10 p.m. — Empire Township — Co-worker currently in the hallway crying and talking to mother.
2:59 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Cyber bullying. Anonymous poster conducting business on Snapchat stating hurtful and mean things.
3:24 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller wants to file assault and harassment against mother.
6:45 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Female, 17, with long, straight black hair, felt house late this morning. Daughter is 38 weeks pregnant. Caller has had contact with daughter but she is telling parents that she isn’t going to come back home. (Daughter returned home safely.)
Get vaccinated and mask up! There is a pandemic going on.
