Tuesday, Sept. 21
6:50pm 09/21/21 Assist, E. Government Center, Standby at the Leelanau County courthouse for Board of Commissioners meeting.
7:30pm 09/21/21 Harassment, Leelanau Township, Reporting party went to the house to find his girlfriend who is cheating on him and found the vehicle she took without permission. Status in 10. Subject took off on foot into the woods. One in custody.
Wednesday, Sept. 22
10:48 a.m. — Kasson Township — Olive green SUV with gate open. Caller thinks it is suspicious and doesn’t want to approach the vehicle. (Vehicle secured. Voice mail left for the registered owner.)
12:07 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Jewelry taken within the past month and a half.
3:59 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Subject is sitting on caller’s porch and won’t leave. Caller would like him trespassed.
9:09 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller wants to speak to an officer about her brother kidnapping her mom. Did not have his address only that he lived in Leland. (deputy spoke to the brother and he advised that their mom was there and she is sick and needed to be taken care of. He advised that he will contact their other brother who is the caller’s guardian and have him make contact.)
Thursday, Sept. 23
11:56 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller reports the “gas guy” was there being verbally abusive toward her and her service dog.
10:36 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Domestic incident. Drunk/disorderly person being held down. Female is “being difficult.”
Friday, Sept. 24
1:42 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller’s dog ate one chicken.
2:20 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller was passed on the right-hand side while stopped behind a vehicle making a left-hand turn. Female followed behind caller to Leland and rather aggressively and then got out of her vehicle. Took pictures of him and his car and advised she was contacting the police.
2:33 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller reports someone left a 4-year-old in a car for half an hour. Caller took keys from car that was parked in the road. Silver truck with a flatbed trailer. Keys and phones to vehicle owner.
3:29pm 09/24/21 Allergies, S. West-Bay Shore Dr, Deputies with 30-year-old male with 6 or 7 bee stings. Turned over to GTCO due to it being in city jurisdiction. Advised emergent response.
4:13 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller requests assistance getting his aunt up some stairs in the house. She didn’t fall but their stairs are not wheelchair accessible so he needs some help getting her up the last few stairs.
6:27 p.m. —Leland Township — Caller is concerned about a young, female cashier. There is a man creeping around in and out of the store a couple times. Worried he may cause trouble when it comes time to close.
7:01 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Subject cutting trees on his property. He will be contacting law enforcement later with pictures of the people on the property. No report for now.
8:42 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports that his daughter was working tonight when a male came in and began asking inappropriate questions. Did not get the man’s name but would know him if she saw him again.
9:50 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — A highly intoxicated male caller says his mother is not breathing. Male refuses to do CPR. Says mom is “coming out of it.” (Female regained consciousness and refused treatment.)
10:42 p.m. —Suttons Bay Township — Male sleeping on the side of the road. Tribal officers will transport subject to home in Traverse City.
Saturday, Sept. 25
6:43 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone driving a truck hit a dog and then drove off. Dog has minor injuries.
10:39 a.m. — Solon Township — Horses running around. Two loose on the side of the road. (Dispatch reached homeowner. She is on her way back from town.)
3:33 p.m. —Elmwood Township — General manager wants a subject trespassed from property. He has a history of coming in and being disruptive, disgruntled. He has been respectfully asked to leave numerous time in the past. Possibly has dementia. (Per law enforcement, subject has been trespassed. Given a ride home.)
11:19 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Man showed up with blood on his face. (Per law enforcement, subject states he is homeless and the blood is from crawling around in the woods. He would like to go to the hospital to get checked out.)
Sunday, Sept. 26
8:50 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller is looking for assistance with getting his son back from his exwife.
12:14 p.m. — Solon Township — Brown briefcase found in the middle of the road. Brought into Sheriff’s Office lobby. Dispatch took possession and will attempt to locate owner. (Owner called in to state he is 25 minutes from Sheriff’s Office.)
2:02 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller needs someone with strength to assist in moving husband back around in bed.
5:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reporting damage to fence and vehicle debris. Unsure of what exactly happened. Large pine uprooted.
6:22 p.m. — Empire Township — Six to seven pigs in caller’s yard. (Caller called back to report the pigs have made it back to where they belong.)
11:13 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Someone knocking on caller’s doors. Last knock a couple minutes before 911 calls. (Per law enforcement didn’t see anyone. Left after seeing the area was secure.)
Monday, Sept. 27
7:41 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — There’s a van parked on the road that has been there overnight. Says this isn’t the first time. There are people who live in the van. (Per law enforcement, people in the van area employed by the homeowner. Will have them move the van into the driveway.)
10:38 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s husband is having hallucinations.
2:57 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller not home. States two Great Danes killed his chickens earlier today.
3:52 p.m. — Empire Township — Someone smashed caller’s car window in the last hour and stole her purse out of her car.
5:43 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller found two dogs — one white paw lab mix and the other one is male pit mix, gray with spots. Caller will bring them to the Sheriff’s Office. Doesn’t want to talk to the owners. She says this happens all the time.
Tuesday, Sept. 28
12:33 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Loud yelling and a woman crying. Disagreement about son wanting to go to grandmother’s house down the street. (Made contact with grandmother. All set, per law enforcement.)
1:32 a.m. — Kasson Township — Caller’s son, 17, last seen this morning before school. Went to Clinch Park around 5 p.m. Caller has not heard from him or seen him since then. Most likely wearing bright-colored mismatched clothing. (Subject called back. Son was at his father’s home.)
