Weekly Dispatch Blotter Highlights: Issue #61 Caller’s 2-year-old daughter has locked the entire family on the balcony

Thursday, Sept. 30
12:03 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Father has not been heard from since early Wednesday. Caller and father had an argument and caller would like to check to make sure he’s OK. (Father said he was at church about to lay down for a nap.)
4:37 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller was instructed by her boss to ask for more patrols.
8:25 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Video footage of someone taking other customers food tonight. Caller wants to know what her options are. (Contact made. Male will return tomorrow and pay for the two bags he took from the restaurant.)
Friday, Oct. 1
3:08 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller would like a welfare check on caller’s mother. (On arrival, daughter was there. Apparently, fell and was unable to get to the phone. Said she was OK and refused any medical attention.
4:38 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Park Service called to assist family with locating their autistic child. Ran off from the property (Returned, per law enforcement ).
8:18 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller’s 2-year-old daughter has locked the entire family on the balcony. (Subjects were able to get inside).
10:41 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller was coming home. There is a box in front of his garage door. Says he doesn’t see a label on the package. Thinks it is some type of battery. (Package was addressed to caller’s neighbors.)
Saturday, Oct. 2
9:10 a.m. — Empire Township — Ex contacted caller today. States he has not been served with personal protection order.
3:44 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller has foot stuck in 4-by-8 and needs help lifting plywood in the page. (Subject free from entrapment.
8:48 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.
8:51 p.m. —Suttons Bay Township — Caller is receiving threatening texts from subject who said he’s going to come over and hurt him. Does not know who they are but advised it was a local number. (Texting between the two parties. Should be taken care of now, per law enforcement.)
9:33 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Someone is near Ware Brothers throwing eggs at vehicles. Caller was driving through the area when his car was almost hit by an egg. (Law enforcement searching for individual trying to hide in some bushes.)
10:52 p.m. — Bingham Township — Caller wants text messaging to cease and will seek a personal protection order.
Sunday, Oct. 3
1:01 a.m. — Leland Township College kids raging at address on Chandler Street. Caller was advised there is no noise ordinance but could have deputy nicely ask them to quiet down.
1:56 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Cars going very fast through the neighborhood. Kids getting out and yelling and screaming very loud.
11:27 a.m. — Leland Township — Someone has placed a storage shed on church property. No one knows who it belongs to. Would like advice on how to proceed.
11:33 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Subject has placed a tree stand and trail cameras on caller’s property without permission. Would like the equipment removed and have the person trespassed.
6:45 p.m. — Leland Township — Lost three gold necklaces somewhere in Fishtown.
8:03 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller requesting a welfare check on a friend. He’s been very vague and has been drinking. Caller asked him if he was trying to hurt himself and he stated he doesn’t know what she means and is being evasive. (House was dark. Appears someone is in the home but will not come to the door.)
Monday, Oct. 4
7:49 a.m. — Leland Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.
9:39 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller’s electric bike has a flat tire. Caller thinks someone did this intentionally.
11:06 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller lost wallet last night.
11:08 a.m. — Leland Township — Abandoned trailer with boat sitting at the end of Fourth Street. Blocking access to the lake. Has been sitting there for a week. Believes the owner of the boat lives at the end of Third Street. (Law enforcement spoke with the boat owner who is going to move it up a little bit to keep from blocking the access. He does have permission from owner of the property there to keep boat parked there.)
12:58 p.m. — Solon Township — Welfare check requested. Friend last heard from on Sept. 23. Caller knows she has been drinking and in a bad mental state. (Per law enforcement, male owners of the property states that female does not live there and that she lives in Traverse City. Central dispatch also had a welfare check on the female subject. Deputies spoke to female. She is fine.)
3:18 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller worked for 12 days and didn’t get paid. (Trooper spoke with both parties and advised them it was civil and they will try to work it out between themselves.)
5:12 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Neighbor’s dog is in the chicken coop.
6:54 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Two horses “grazing” on the shoulder of the road.
11:05 p.m. — Bingham Township — Male, 14, rode his bike away from the house. He has been rebelling. Doesn’t want to do his homework or go to bed. Left on a black mountain bike wearing an Adidas black and white striped sweat pants and beige sweatshirt. May have taken the TART Trail toward Suttons Bay. (Per law enforcement, bike seen at the Suttons Bay soccer field locked up. Checked the soccer field without success. Deputy located subject on Herman Road near Bahle Road. Safely returned to father.)
