Monday, Sept. 25
4:15 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Mom and her boyfriend are fighting. Caller woke up to screaming. They were hitting each other. (Law enforcement responded. Male half left residence.)
9:44pm 9/25/2023 Suspicious Vehicle Leelanau Cty., Small SUV, dark in color sitting in front of caller’s house for a long time. Reporter called back stating the vehicle has left.
Tuesday, Sept. 26
1:52am 9/26/2023 Suspicious Incident Bingham Twp., Caller is hearing noises coming from the upstairs section of the house. Checked the inside and outside of house, nothing unusual upstairs, possibly some critters of some type. Clear with no report.
4:55 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s sister came back very drunk. Was supposed to have been in detox, but she just came home. Caller doesn’t think she ever went.
10:08 a.m.— Elmwood Township — Grounds crew has been working at the recycling center. Someone came along and took their rake, leaf blower. (Items returned to the site.)
12:21pm 9/26/2023 Larceny Elmwood Twp., Caller went out of country last month, came home and gold necklace and pearls had been stolen, also says that things have been going missing from her jewelry box since March. Caller has a roommate who she has spoken with and does not suspect, says no one else has had access to the house.
7:11pm 9/26/2023 Suspicious Incident Leelanau Twp., Caller is reporting 3 bullet holes in his garage door, not sure when it happened but it was sometime recently.
8:41 p.m. — Centerville Township — Red and white cooler in the southbound lane of M-22. Possibly fell out of a truck and spilled its contents.
Thursday, Sept. 28
6:59 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller believes a 45-year-old female will pass out at certain address.
10:31 p.m. — Leland Township — Female came over pretending that she would help the caller with her dog. Then started harassing the caller about her dogs. (Per law enforcement, woman was asked to call again if the woman comes back.)
Friday, Sept. 29
8:41pm 9/29/2023 Noise Lake Leelanau, Caller lives across the lake and is reporting that the noise from the band is so loud she can hear it over her TV with windows and doors closed. There is no band playing, but lots if people walking to their cars, clearing.
9:58pm 9/29/2023 Suspicious Incident Kasson Twp., Caller is reporting a man and woman screaming at eachother. The two cars are leaving, they are heading toward 72. Caller advised they seemed like small sedans.
10:11 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Someone is camping in an RV at the end of the road and there is a sign that says no camping. (Law enforcement checked. No one camping.)
Saturday, Sept. 30
6:03pm 9/30/2023 Gunshots Lake Leelanau, Sounds like a gun battle happening on the lake 300-400 rounds at least per 45-06 nothing heard, will be clear.
6:16 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller gave someone a ride and they are now refusing to pay the fare of $105.
7:36 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Female tried assaulting caller and damaging her grandma’s property. She’s now walking down the road wearing a black Carhartt hoodie.
8:35pm 9/30/2023 Unknown Problem N Lighthouse Point Rd., Someone yelled for help, unknown what is happening.
9:41 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller received a call from iPhone with an automated message saying they have been in a severe car crash and are not picking up their phone.
Sunday, Oct. 1
12:25am 10/1/2023 Noise Northport, Business is playing loud music and people are dancing in the street. Caller would just like the music turned down. They will turn the music down.
Monday, Oct. 2
7:5 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Motorist hit coyote. Still alive in the travel lane. Caller will stay on scene until law enforcement arrives. (Coyote got up and lumbered off into the woods.)
9:05pm 10/2/2023 Trespassing Elmwood Twp., Vehicle doing donuts in caller’s yard. He is not there but can see it on his security camera. Reporter called back stating they just left, they unplugged caller’s security camera, thinks they may have taken things, driving an SUV unknown what color, would like a TX from deputy. In the area, will drop back and check that way; way through Timberlee Dr is unpassable. One camera still plugged in. Will search the area for any vehicles.
Tuesday, Oct. 3
2:54pm 10/3/2023 Suspicious Incident Lake Leelanau, Someone shut off the camera to the property and stayed in the house sometime between Tuesday and Thursday night.
5:15pm 10/3/2023 Info Kasson Twp., Says there is an old camper trailer in the woods. Does not appear to be anyone living there but notices vehicles there late at night. Thinks it is very suspicious and would like additional patrols in the area, especially after dark.
11:53pm 10/3/2023 911 Hangup Elmwood Twp., "Get off me” then disconnected. Call forwarded to voicemail on callback, voicemail left. Made contact with female at this address who resides alone, she states that is not her phone number and that she is all set. Speaking with homeowner now. Speaking with family, they are currently trying to evict her. Out with the male, out with the female, taking female back to residence from playground. Clear, no report, after speaking with the female the statements were more of a response to the breakup, family coming in 20 minutes to move her out, will call if anything happens.
Wednesday, Oct. 4
5:35am 10/4/2023 Welfare Check S West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller’s employee trying to get away from him trying to take 150 pills, 250 mg of caffeine. Ran north on 22 wearing all blackand carrying a bottle of alcohol. Had the pills earlier today but he has another bottle of pills. Out with subject, out with the caller, no status, clear contact, he is walking on his own clearing with 45-24.
10:41am 10/4/2023 Larceny Bingham Twp., Lumber was taken from job site over the weekend, value around $400.
8:28pm 10/4/2023 Road Hazard Leelanau Twp., Caller is reporting a cow in the road. Made contact, checking to see if it is his cow. Is missing a cow, he will take the side by side and check the cornfields. Clear with no report.
Thursday, Oct. 5
11:05 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller loaned his vehicle to someone while he was on vacation. Expected car to be dropped back in his driveway. Man who borrowed the car died. Last known location was to car dealership in Grand Traverse County. (Caller was told via email that this needs to be handled through their jurisdiction.)
1:11 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller received email from Credit Karma. Then a handful of emails from a bank that is not her’s that a new credit card has been issued and a new account was opened in her name. She was advised to make a police report.
1:32 p.m. — Solon Township — Leelanau Senior Services called. Said subject made a comment about guns. (Law enforcement spoke with caller. No threats were made.)
3:05pm 10/5/2023 Citizen Assist Elmwood Charter Twp., Caller returned from vacation today and believes that someone was in her house. Things seem to be moved around and misplaced in the house.
3:35pm 10/6/2023 Standby Suttons Bay, Needs assistance getting birth chart.
5:16 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller requests an officer to go notify his sister than their dad is having heart surgery.
5:36 p.m. — Leland Township — Young girl, emotional, walking along M-22.
Saturday, Oct. 7
1:37 p.m. — Solon Township — Joint marital property currently contested in a divorce.
8:36 p.m. — Bingham Township — Group of 12 to 15 people have been asked to leave. Acting aggressive toward coworkers. (All have departed the scene.)
Sunday, Oct. 8
5:52pm 10/8/2023 Animal Control Leelanau Cty., Passing the church entrance and noticed a sheep outside the fence.
Monday, Oct. 9
11:56am 10/9/2023 Road Hazard Leelanau Twp., Caller complained about cow manure on the road.
Tuesday, Oct. 10
8:59 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Cattle at farm are milling around the yard, Not quite in the road yet.
9:04 a.m. — Leland Township — Car nearly ran caller off the road and then followed him in a Ford SUV. Appeared to be waiting for caller. Would like to see a deputy.
5:22 p.m. — Caller was victim of tax return fraud. Actively working with the IRS. Needs a police report for his paperwork.
5:52 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller was out in field sampling for grape harvest. Neighbor and his wife came out telling obscenities.
6:07 p.m. — Cleveland Township — One black cow in the road.
